  1. I didn't load Vista software or anything else to it. I had just bought a car adapter and was out one day running errands. I had shut the car down several times and the Legend C went to battery power just fine up until I get home; then the GPSr just shut off. It powered up with external power but not on batteries after that. I sent it back to Garmin the next day to get repaired. Hopefully I get it back soon I'm starting to go through withdrawals!
  2. I dreamt that I was looking for a cache in a park that had a picnic table and near it was, for some reason, a wall with refrigerator magnets. I get near the co-ordinates and can't find the cache so I looked up the clue. It was "think about it". I look at the magnets and see one of the statue "thinking man". Sure enough the magnet had a mini cache in it. While it was only a dream I thought that was a pretty cool cache.
  3. I'd like to think that a few hundred years from now the people who keep stumbling on lost caches think "Wow, the populatin of the 21st century were really into time capsules. Too bad they weren't any good at them." Seriously though, if you don't like what you're finding in the caches then put in there what you'd like to find yourself. The more people trade up the better quality stuff we'll eventually start seeing overall. And don't forget to enjoy the hunt
  4. The icon to the right of the acquiring satellite icon has been showing up on my Etrex Legend C and stays when I look at the status bar: Anybody know what it is?
  5. Maybe, if you happen to watch the GPS too much when walking, an alert that tells you when you're about to run into a tree
  6. Yuo could also use Google. In the Search bar put site:http://forums.Groundspeak.com followed by the key words you'd like to search for. Example: "site:http://forums.Groundspeak.com Magellan 210" Of course leave out the quotes. Hope this helps
