I don't think the data will be too much of an issue, but a handheld GPS is very easy to learn and they are much cheaper than they used to be. A hint for someone just starting off is to pay attention to the name of the geocache you are looking for. Lots of times there is valuable info hidden in the name. When I turn on the backlight all the characters disappear. Batteries are new even though the unit is several years old. Any suggestions?
