To do some experimenting, I removed all caches from my GPS except for one puzzle cache. I've just solved my first Puzzle cache and I'm not quite sure what the best way to put my final coordinates in the Oregon. I checked my solution on the site given and downloaded "GPX>Gsak" coordinates. I loaded it in GSAK, and right clicked on that cache and clicked sent to GPSr. It uploaded a GPX file with the waypoint name (I'm not sure if this is the best way, what if I want to combine a bunch of puzzles into one file? Select them all?)
Both the cache and the child waypoint are now on the map. The original ?puzzle? icon and a generic flag showing final coordinates with the name FI2PXVY. There seems to be no connection between the two, other than part of the code. This seems... a little confusing, if I had more than one cache loaded. How am I supposed to know what final coordinates goes with the original puzzle waypoint, I can't even mark FIND on the final coordinates. I have to figure out which original Cache waypoint is the parent, and mark that found? Is it really supposed to be this difficult?
Puzzles seem like kind of a hassle to work with, unless I'm doing something wrong. I find it more challenging figuring out how to manage my final coordinates
BONUS QUESTION:
Is there any way to hide cache icons on the oregon, other than delete them? I have a map loaded with caches even when I'm not geocaching. I'd prefer not to delete them, but I wish they weren't on the map ALL the time.
Thanks.
