I have the same unit and I too am new to the hobby. And I too was off a bit. The reason....I got button happy! try re-seting your unit to all defaults. There is an option on one of the screens. From there the only additional thing I did was turn the WAAS on. After that give it another shot! Good luck and Cach on!
