  1. Hurray! I solved my own problem! Just in case anyone else is having a simular problem this is what I did: I went into Preferences, and under the Wand tab (even though I also couldn't login manually) I checked the boxes beside 'Apply these settings for entire domain, and 'Accept cookies for server/domain, ...and it WORKED! I can now login with Opera! Stay tuned for further adventures of the 'Fifth St. Irregulars'
  2. Hey! I just noticed the link to Geocaching.com Google map in the list of map links! We were hoping the Google map feature would return because we like how we can use it to plan a route. I only checked it out for a minute or two, (I wanted to rush over here to say thank-you!) but everything seems to working wonderfully, and if I'm not mistaken, it seems alot faster than it was before. We also don't mind having to do an extra click to see it, so that folks who want to print the page with the Mapquest map can have it their way too! Thank-you! Fifth St. Irregulars
  3. Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone help? We can't login to Geocaching.com web site using Opera 8.54 on Mac OS X 10.3.9. After we click on the login button, we don't get an error message, we don't go anywhere, we remain on the login page, (or I should say, we reload the login page) with the username and password blocks empty as if we hadn't done anything. We CAN login using Safari 1.3.2 on the same computer. Both browsers are enabled to accept cookies, but we can only login using Safari. Opera has the option of being recognized as both itself and as Internet Explorer 6.0 and we've tried logging in with each of those options with no success. We've also played around with the various cookie options, again with no success. We got Opera because it worked with the new Google map feature when Safari didn't, and because it can identify as Explorer. Yes, we know we can just use Safari, but we would like the option of using Opera. Also we are concerned about being able to login with Safari updates or browsers on other computers; like when we go on vacation. Thanks for reading; Fifth St. Irregulars
  4. Yes, we tried Opera 8.54 on our Mac 10.3.9 and it works! The version of Safari we have (1.3.2) was suppose to work according the the list of compatible browsers that was posted on this forum, and DOES work when we go to Google Maps directly and when we click on the link further down the cache page, but the new map feature showed only as a grey box. Everything appears to work with Opera (Identifying both as itself and as Internet Explorer) and even though with each click it becomes more and more sluggish, we are very happy to be able to access the new map features which are EXACTLY the ones we thought of when we said to ourselves: ..."wouldn't it be nice if...." Thanks for reading our minds, Groundspeak! Fifth St. Irregulars
  5. Well, a lot of people seem to be happy with the changes, and we would too, if we could only see them. We're using Safari, but it's not just version 2.0 and higher thats having the problem. we're using 1.3.2 (v312.6) on system 10.3.9 and we are also seeing only a grey box on the cache page, where once, at least, was a map. We CAN, however, see Google maps with the same browser by going there directly, and by clicking on the link further down the page (but that doesn't give us the new bells and whistles), so the problem doesn't appear to be an incompatibility issue with Safari and Google maps, but with Safari and the new feature. Hope our two cents worth added something new to the pot; Fifth St. Irregulars
