  1. Why do not maypoles and guild poles together as an category. In my opinion, there is no much difference espiacially in germany and Holidy Displays is a melting pot of a lot of things nobody cant define. There should be a more special category.
  2. Hi, we have maypoles in USA: http://www.leavenworthtaffyshop.com/leavenworth.html and in good old England: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5754329/Village-axes-centuries-old-tradition-dancing-round-maypole-ONE-person-complained.html These are on pemranent display. In Europe, most of the maypoles become more and more permanent, cause of the work and its also a nice topic on a city square or in a parc. It´s today not more a bavarian hotspot, i´m coming from Northern Hesse and we have also permanent maypoles around. In Austria and Czech Republic its the same. So the world is chancing and maypoles need a new discussion and category at least ?.
  3. Hi there, we want to develop a new category for the topic "maypoles" - These are traditional North and West European but are found in other countries like in the Americas also. Especially the poles in the Alps are very pittoresque but in Sweden or in Canada you can find them, too, often decorated with tree branches and ribbons. What´s your opinion about that? Greetings from Germany, Thomas
