  1. Saw several of these little guys out by the lake. The 2-year-old found them first.
  2. Okay, I figured out how to look for this. And no, no one seems to have done it.
  3. I was wondering if anyone has bookmarked the caches along the Frisco Highline Trail that goes from Bolivar, MO to Springfield. We are hoping to bike the trail this weekend if the forecast holds up.
  4. It seems to me if the hider got permission for this cache, more power to him/her. I haven't found a cache I had to climb to get to, yet. But, if I came accross this one, and no one was around, I'd go after it.
  5. I am trying to find good overnight camp out, hiking type caches. I would guess there are several in the Rockies, but anywhere in the United States interests me. Specifically, I am looking for caches that the average person would have to plan on a days hike to get to. Also, I am looking for real caches that people have visited, not just good stories. Thanks.
  6. We will pick up any little rubber frogs to add to my wife's collection. So if you're passing through southern Missouri, there you go.
  7. Wow, Michael Douglas reads these forums. Hey, Michael.
  8. I haven't been caching long. You'll notice the tadpole under my screen name. Once I really started to enjoy geocaching and wanting to learn more, I got onto the forums. I've never had much use for web forums before. I have learned so much through these things that I thought I should check out other forums on other topics I am interested in. I believed all forums would be like Groundspeak. Boy was I wrong. Other forums made it difficult to find threads and topics meandered far from what the posts original title. I love how Groundspeak is set up and just wanted to let those in charge know they are doing a great job. I am even considering paying them (ie premium membership).
  9. My Garmin Etrex is bright yellow. I would think that would apeal to a Mac user.
  10. Just wondering if this would get rid of the tadpole. Hmm... No avatar. keep trying.
  11. I'm a newbie, but I think this is something that should be taken into account. I found a tiny micro this weekend (I haven't logged it yet) at a park where I would think a traditional could have been hidden with ease. Maybe it's part of my personal bais that a larger container should always be considered first.
  12. I've thought about doing this, but it doesn't seem right to bury something on public land. And there isn't much land in our family that is guaranteed to be here for the next generation.
  13. My last couple of caches I've been listening to The Da Vinci Code.
  14. I have to agree with Lep. This sounds like the kind of thing Waymarking was made for, but then again I'm just a tadpole.
  15. I didn't even have to look at your location to know you were from Missouri. I didn't have any real fears about geocaching until I started reading some recent posts in these forums. Now I can't approach a rock without wondering if its a rattlesnake den.
  16. You "own" three kids and you think McToys are the reason the world hates Americans? Since my only baby is unborn, maybe I just don't understand. On topic; I agree with most of the posts. When the toy is in good shape, it compares favorably with most of the stuff found in a cache.
