  1. I am now using energized rechargables and the problem is resolved.
  2. I do have my brightness up pretty high, but if the power only feature is not for charging, than what is it for?
  3. I have a Magellan eXplorist GC and it is supposed to have 18 hours of battery life, but I usually end up only getting about 1 and a half hours. I use Duracell alkalines ( I would use rechargables but we haven't gotten around to buying some yet). I think the problem may be that I had it set to the lithium setting instead of the alkaline, but I just change that and Im not sure if that would fix it. Also, can I plug the gps in to charge it? When I plug it into the computer, it gives me an option to power only or connect to pc. Can I charge it by choosing the power only an leave it plugged in? If not, what is that feature for? Sorry for all the questions in one topic. Here are the questions again: Why does my Magellan eXplosrist GC drain my battery? How do I fix it? Can I charge my gps by choosing the "power only" feature? If not, what is that feature used for? Thanks guys!
  4. Sorry I accedently posted it in tw wrong category.
  5. I want to lock one of my topics, but I don't know how. Help?
  6. It turns out the person has lost the trackable. They replyed to an email I just sent and they are offering to buy me a new one. Problem resolved!
  7. Most of them, yes. A lot of them were off in the woods or in an area muggles would have no reason to wander off into. I really just don't understand why they don't post a single "visited" log or reply to my emails? Some people do not like to post visited logs because they fear it will piss off the owner when they receive so many emails. I only asked for a single visited log to know its okay and get some miles on it. I didn't ask for pages and pages of every single cache he found, just one every now and then.
  8. I do have some back ups for it and I HAVE been receiving tons of "Prime Reviewer Published" emails and "blablabka found/didn't find blablabla. Also, I have had continual contact with another member through geocaching.com and nothing screws up with those emails.

  10. Oh also, a 5/5 puzzle cache is better for me than not moving at all. At least it's moved some!
  11. Oh yes, they have found lots of caches since they picke it up, and most were small or medium. I checled the description of the smalls out of curiousity because most of them were near my home, and most of the smalls were big enough for trackables and had trackables in inventory either t the moment or in the past. The reason im worried at three weeks is because I have had no contact with the person, so I have no idea if it is safe or where they plan to move it etc.
  12. Might I also add, the person DOES have an email and checks it every night. I know this because I have sent emails to this person before but on different topics and before they took the tb. I got a reply that very night. The tb has ZERO miles on it, which is what really frustrates me.
  13. I have a tb and the person who took it ga been holding on to it for three weeks. I have emailed them, but no reply. No emails telling me how it's doing, nothing. The only log they have posted was the pick up log which stated "cool coin... Will keep it moving." which they are not. They are being non responsive. I ask them to please move it along...no reply. Try again...no reply. What should I do?
  14. I have this problem on my travel bug dog tag "Lonely Dog" but the person has not held on to it as long. It's been three weeks. I've emailed and asked for it to please be moved along soon, but they never reply. At lease they don't rack up the visited logs. The really bad part is, it hasn't moved anywhere. I published a cache then activated the trackable and placed it in. The person was FTF and took the trackable and has been holding on to it ever since without sending me any curtacy emails or even a single log except the pick up log which stated "cool coin... Will keep it moving." which they clearly are not. It's frustrating.
  15. Everyone has encountered muggles before. Beleive it or not, we were all once a muggle. But what's so bad about them? I always see nosy muggles as an opportunity to convert a muggle to a cacher, Unstead of a threat. So tell me, why are most people scared or nervous to go into an environment with muggles? If someone asks what you are doing, you can explain geocaching and hopefully convert them. If a cop asks you, you can explain geocaching. Nothing is illegal about it, so why he scared? I want to hear what other cachers have to say about why they don't like caching around muggles.
  16. Oh I forgot! A first aid kit!
