  1. Now do you think they would give you the names of the people they stiffed or took over a year to design a coin for? If they're silly enough to defraud people over and over that are part of a tight knit community, then they just might be In my experience, you can tell somebody your experience, but sometimes they just won't hear you. That's true. And we already have folks in here who are reporting their bad experiences and there probably are more. If that doesn't scream a need for a rating system what does? From Groundspeak's perspective, if enough people get burned by coin businesses/artists, where does that leave coin making? It only takes one bad apple to ruin a good thing.
  2. Now do you think they would give you the names of the people they stiffed or took over a year to design a coin for? If they're silly enough to defraud people over and over that are part of a tight knit community, then they just might be True, but this community changes often, though not as much as it seems to have changed in the last few months. Many faces who were here as recent as a few weeks ago are gone now. New people come in every day. They don't know any of us. They don't know who to trust. They don't know the history of someone's actions like we do whether they are good, bad or indifferent. They see an artist's name, they see a coin they like and their initial enthusiasm for coin making goes into overdrive. They don't think but get carried away by the shiny. So they need some form of protection from those who are unethical in their business dealings. I too think we should be allowed to discuss those who don't deliver as promised. If this really is our community then we need to protect all who come to reside here, even if it is only for a brief period.
  3. Like it. Saw the GT yesterday & was kind of wondering. Glad yinz 'splained it.
  4. Having the same problem using IE and in FF it prints only sometimes. Generally the maps are falling towards the bottom of the page and getting cut off despite adjusting margins. You see either a blank space where the map should be using IE and in FF sometimes you see part of the map, sometimes none of it. Also, is there a way to revert back to the original map screen after clicking the i button? Any news on this? Now I can't even see it on Firefox. We need the maps for areas we travel to that we are unfamiliar with, especially areas with only gravel road access. Thanks for any help.
  5. Excellent choices tsun. Looking forward to seeing the pictures! Have fun.
  6. Michelle, I sent you an email last night. Did you get it? Sent you an email.
  7. Sweet Jen. They came out great! I really like 'em.
  8. I'd like these too. Trade list below. And the Black Raspberry as well.
  9. Which pathtag is that? That looks like the micro coin from the recent Rendevous event in Ontario.
  10. This one was a lot of fun & a unique idea. I worked on it till all hours of the night and the kids are sure having fun with it this am. I look forward to solving your son's cache; that one is way easier to see. Thanks for the really fun diversions and the brain challenges. I love the creativity of cachers! Since gas prices are so high, solving puzzle caches might be the way to go for a while. We're still working on it. Please don't put up an answer yet.
  11. Pretty soon, like within 48 hours I don't want vacation travelers and I will edit my original post. I want you caching in your home state/country/province. So if you grabbed caches, I expect you to grab caches in SD. If I were to choose you, you would be like an ambassador for your state. It's a chance to showboat what SD has to offer or Sioux Falls, lol. If you know you're going on vacation for several weeks, 1 missed volunteer session isn't going to hurt you. Everyone has 24 chances to get picked. capiche? Oui, je comprends. Great idea to do it this way. Fairly cool even.
  12. When/How soon do you plan for this to commence? Since it is summer and lots of folks head out on vacation, should they lyk (either in their volunteer post or via email to you) if they will be traveling soon & where they plan to go?
  13. What coins is this? It's an AE Toys Jeep, special edition. Only 50 or so were minted: Cool. Never saw that for sale. Besides the Noel & the THX4TC did they do others? I know their summer Jeeps aren't for sale yet. And to keep on topic looking for that tread lightly one too.
  14. aww, what are those adorable little froggies jumping out of the fishbowls?! That green & purple looks just like my duck. Whose name is on it? Wonder if you got my son's frog too.

  16. $100 bucks a piece Sign me up, I'll take 10! Or would a jar of Nutella be enough? Oh nutella...... you know just what to say I'm getting hungry... I think I'll go finish off the jar of Nutella in the kitchen. I'll bring the spoon. Right after I steal your casino.
  17. Thanks again for all your hard work with this race!! It was lots of fun!! Absolutely agree. Even though we lost 2 of the 3 coins, it was fun to watch and see what happened with everyone else's. Thanks for all the fun Dan, and the cool pin!
  18. Oh fun. Look forward to the next one to stretch the brain (but participating only in fun!) Thank you Valerie!
  19. Another fun one. Thanks for the brain challenge.
