  1. Totally awesome event! MEGA thanks to Jim, Lenore & Jim. You did an outstanding job. Pete & Sonya did their usual terrific job with the poker tournament. Always a fun time especially when the table has no clue what it is doing. Uh. Yeah. Sure. To the vendors who keep us in coinage & poker, thanks for bringing the fun to us in person. Thanks to all who traded coins and Pathtags with us. What a blast! Still have to go through the stash as we only got home at 4am. Can't wait to see what we have because I sure don't remember it all. Thanks to everyone who was so nice and friendly to my kids. They had a fantastic time because of so many of you! Caching around the area, getting into Pittsburgh for that sandwich. Now that made for some great fun. We did make it to Mingo, despite the little guys bad cold, and that place just rocks for caching. Missed some other planned things but take what you can get! It was all fun. The best was seeing old friends & making new ones. Awesome! Thanks everyone!
  2. I mysteriously received one of these exquisite coins at GCF too. Thank you so much for the beautiful gift. It will be treasured always.
  3. I showed them to you Saturday night after your 5th drink. Look whos talkin! Are you sure you were not showing to one of the wedding guest? I was only drinking tea. I think he had the 5 drinks - and then some. Totally awesome coin too. Well done Mark.
  4. Very cool coin. Thought it was a sample though. Oh well. Still neat looking.
  5. Adult mission received! yeah, yeah, yeah!! Will post after GCF. Trying to get ready and always behind. Typical. THANK YOU!!!
  6. Ours is still out there - almost two years. Made it over to Europe now. Without a doubt coins & TBs move better in Europe & Australia. There have been gaps in movement but it always comes back. Thanks again to forthferalz for the gift & release. And prntr1 for the fantastic coins. We've had fun tracking it. Civil War Geocoin Traveler

  8. Grabbed some with the Musketeer coins. I drop them in my kid's bags when they stop here as the last house on their candy hunt. They were so exited last year with the bag coins. Whatever this year's is I'm sure they will love it too.
  9. Not buying a lot of coins these days, but these were a must have. I'm one of those copper lovers.
  10. They are. My kids are going to love them. 'Course they won't see them till Christmas.
  11. Exactly. Well said. In that case a rating system would be useless. To make it less harsh "XYZ is no longer an approved vendor of Groundspeak" could suffice. And that should be a separate pinned thread. The only thing to be settled is how long a time period between non-delivery and/or response does the company/person get de-listed.
  12. I agree with tsun. I think the rating system is a bad idea. I'll just add a very bad idea. She stated it well so need to repeat it but all her points were on target. As far as rating traders how does that work? If I contact someone through another site for a trade, does that mean they still have the right to come in here and rate me, whether it be good or bad? To allow Groundspeak such "control" over trades that are personal and between individuals gives far too much leeway. This is an area they should not even get involved in. Frankly, we have crummy postal service here. I've sent coins that never made it and had packages returned to others claiming my address does not exist. All it takes is one person to feel disgruntled or slighted and it can ruin it for others. Never mind the sniping that goes on in here already in some threads. Could you imagine what will happen when you give someone the right to bash another? And they will have that right if they are allowed to freely rate someone, no matter what occurred in the trade or sale. This would be way too difficult to control & monitor. Please, let's not go there.

  20. Yea, far as I know they are the AE Toys Jeep coins. They did the regular version THX4TC first and then the Noel ones. That was last year. Someone was trading the Tread Lightly one a few weeks back, I believe. I had not heard of them at that time. Not sure if they were sold on the AE site or not. If so, I completely missed them. I wonder if they were made for this website to sell or AE did really sell them on their site. Either way $20 is steep for one coin. But I guess they are looking to make money for what they do - Tread Lightly.
  21. Ya got that right Droo! Great coin theme!
