    How to keep me away from new coins...

    I'm not sure if this will help or not but don't forget sometimes to get that new coin fix there are cointests offered here in the forums and also in the Geocoin chat room. Even though I've been hit rough and can't buy coins, and have even been selling them I still enjoy giving back and offering cointests for others who may be in the same situation that I am in. I hope some luck finds you, and everyone else going through tough times.

    I was a hider and it was great fun watching the finders search high and low only to find a coin and be even more puzzled about how it got there. I have to admit though I have had much more fun with the 3 Pay it Forward Mission Coins, The Pay it Forward Mission Coin #1, The Pay it Forward Mission Coin #2 , and Ladebear68's Pay it Forward mission coin. It's been such a pleasure to watch them travel and brighten the day of unsuspecting friends.

     

    I'd love to help out with the next mission in any way possible!!!

    I know of a Chinese coin that is being produced, however I am not sure as to where in production it currently is. Perhaps someone who knows will see this and answer you.

    I suggest enlisting the help of a professional designer like Jamie of Mathattersneverland or Paula of geocoindesigns.com. You'll end up with a coin you will really be proud of.

     

    I agree with 9Key on this, enlist the help of a good designer.

     

    In looking at your pictures, I think the ammo can jack-o-lantern would make a good coin...

    I'm fairly certain that Hologram is looking for submissions. this is the first time that SC has attempted such an event and funds are coming from private parties not affiliations. I had actually suggested to him to post here to find other possible art. (personal reasons as to why I am not involved in the design at this time). It's just for fun to make a coin for the event, we may not even have enough time. Next years event will be much better planned...Creacher ya ought to come down from NC for this!

    Our 3rd and final package arrived yesterday! Yippee! We received a Log Book Geocoin, I had no idea how BIG this one was, a Pink Evil Mastermind coin, a Stellar Berry GeoJelly and Stellar Jr's GeoPin! Thanks so much ya'll this is a great package!

    It's great to have friends, and that in itself is thanks enough for me, but in order to win you have to play, so here are my nominations (in no particular order)

     

    I'd like to thank Chris Mackey (FoxandtheHound). His genuine friendship is a constant I know I will always have. I'm not the most talented coin designer, this I know, but he has stood beside me and pushed me to improve. It was his suggestion for me to take my ideas and put them into art, though an artist I am not. He's always got nothing but nice things to say and the sunniest outlook, even on the rainiest days. So Glad your my friend Chris!

     

    I'd like to thank Steph (ParentsofSAM). She's been my "phone a friend" in more ways than one. I'd like her to know how much I will always appreciate and value that. And yes, she has a sunny outlook too, how can you not with such wonderful little girls! (I'd nominate each of them too if I had that many nominations!)

     

    I'd like to thank Dennis (Damenace), it's totally a conspiracy on my part my friend! Another "Phone-a-friend" I couldn't make it without. Geeze what will I do for 2 weeks?! Come up with new conspiracies I suppose.

     

    Also, not a nomination, but Thanks to you Steph for doing this, you are a bright star among the heavens! Thank you for reminding me to think about and thank my friends. It makes me feel good just doing it, so I hope it makes them feel good too!

    The Great Ashvegas Jeep Geocoin Race

    After a couple of us cachers in Ashvegas (aka Ashburton, New Zealand) put racers in to the Premier Race II it was suggested we hold our own race for local cachers and we buy Jeep Geocoins to use as the racers!!

     

    Now we just need to organise some prizes for the 6 month and 12 month points in the two race categories.

     

     

    I've got all 8 Jeeps on my radar! I'd like to send you some prizes if that would be ok! I LOVE that you are using the Jeep Racers, this is just what I designed them for!

    Had to put some coins on ebay

    I'm still working on pulling myself out of these "rough waters" so I have more coins on ebay. These ones are pretty special, at least to me. With each Racer set I have designed I have had a special set of just 2 of each color made. Last week (or the week before) I auctioned off the Blue VW Racer here in the forums to help out Demenace. I've now listed the remaining 3 bugs on ebay:

     

    Green VW Racer

    Yellow VW Racer

    Orange VW Racer

     

    There are only 2 of each of these that were ever made in the shiny nickel metal.

    I've also listed the similar Jeeps that only 2 of each were made.

     

    Red Jeep Racer

    Blue Jeep Racer

    Green Jeep Racer

    Yellow Jeep Racer

     

    The only difference between the Jeeps and the VW's is that the Jeeps were accidentally minted in Black nickel first, then corrected in my preference of Shiny Nickel, so there are 2 coins to each set and they have matching tracking codes!

     

    Thanks you for your bids, they truly help.

    I also have several of the Black and Purple Jeep sets - these were not available through the Geocoin Store and include both the Shiny Nickel and Black Nickel coins with matching codes.
