  1. No Cach log was soaked. I shall email him and find out the story.
  2. I noticed today that I received two FOUND logs for a cache that I owned. The cacher indicated that he had found them on 12 November 2008. I have never had a cache logged two years after the date, so I decided to investigate... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...mp;ul=GPS-Harry Just looking at the dates of his logs (particularly around page 3), is there any reason why they are all out of order!? Is this person's 1110 finds legitimate, or does this look like a hoax player? After some advice before I delete the logs...
  3. Mine was crashing last night, but is fine today. Only thing I've done is a Sync this morning.
  4. Sounds pretty unanimous! And makes more and more sense the more I think about it Thanks for the feedback everyone!
  5. Hi everyone, I'm hardly NEW to geocaching, but I have hit a problem and I am starting to think that "I" might be the one who is in the wrong here, so seeking your advice... I have found that, for the last 15 coins and TBs that I have placed in caches, they have been moved on after less than one hour! However, the cachers who have taken them have not kept them in personal collections (as I originally thought! - PHEW), but taken the trouble to distribute them reasonably quickly into caches all over the district (which of course promotes MORE caches to be discovered) My question is that - while these coins are meant to move - is there any convention (or geocaching rule?) that suggests they should remain in one place long enough to be discovered by people who want to? If there was a polling option, my question would ask: "Do you think trackables should:" 1) Move as fast as possible 2) Stay in each cache for at least 24 hours? Ideas?
  6. Actually, you can delete the faulty Pocket Queries okay, but not the Uploaded Routes! To delete the PQs, tick them on the PQ list and click on the trash can at the bottom of the list. Should give you some more space. As you say, it is a nuisane not being able to delete Existing routes though.
  7. MONTHS later, and this problem has started for me too. I have had routes work one week and then return 0 results the next week. The MOST annoying thing is that I cannot delete then from my "Uploaded Routes", so that is just getting fuller and fuller and very difficult to navigate. Apparently, they're still "working on it"
  8. Nowe my ext question I have the in my cach along route page. I have 2 of the same routes. I got into this situation when I created the route but the page did not update so I created it again. Now I have 2. I can delete it it says that it can't be undone and I proceed, but it doesn't remove it from the page. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Doublestuff I got an Email response from the "team" saying that they are workig on fixing the issue. Has been around fora while I'm told. Regards, Martin
  9. Have heard that it's acommon problem at the moment. Do you have the URL of that other thread? Martin
  10. Hmmm. I need a KML or GPX... Will investigate.

  12. Hi everyone, Doing a NZ trip in a few weeks time and have managed to get caches along the route for everywhere EXCEPT Queenstown to Timaru! I go through the usual process on Google Earth and upload my KML file into my created routes. However, I get an Application error when I attached it into a Pocket Query. What's more, thereafter I cannot delete that uploaded route!!! It just stays in "my uploaded Routes" directory wasting space! So, currrently, had failures with Cromwell to Timaru, Timaru to Cromwell, Queenstown to Timaru, Queenstown to Tekapo and they're all stuck in my Geocaching directory! Is this a one-off user problem, or (as I suspect) a small (and common) error for ANYONE who tries finding caches along a route along this road!? Cheers all.
