  1. quote:Originally posted by yrium: I'll keep releasing copies of the the earlier card numbers as well as the latest ones as I come out with them. I think I need to figure out a better way to inform people where particular cards can be found. Maybe a simple webpage with the names of the caches that I've dropped the cards in is all that is needed. Then if people would continue to let me know by mentioning it in the log when they grab a card I can update it. --- yrium --- Yrium, You could just keep it updated right here. I know we get a few visitors, this thread has been visited over 1100 times. Or you could even start a new thread called Yrium's Cards and let people know what is going on there. Night Hunter
  2. I went right out and found the BUFFALO GALS cache. Now I have TWO trading cards. There are still a few left, one of one and two of the other (can't remember which was which)
  3. Yep, the picnic is still on. have you not seen this yet? San Diego GeoCacher's PotLuck and 100kFunRun Night Hunter
  4. I think your page is very clear in what you want to see happen. However, you may want to list which cachers already have cards done on them. Also, since the bug is tagless for now, does the person who names the cacher need to supply the dog tags, and what is the reason for no dogtags again? Sounds like a great idea. Night Hunter. P.S. I was so close to scoring a Stork Trading card when they were place in Mast Madness. Ever since then I keep hoping to find one---NH
  5. Sounds like fun Parsa. You are right about the planning, But for me it will just take planning on getting permission to go. You see, there is a reason that my nickname is not TEAM Night Hunter.
  6. For My toughest, I would have to put down Fattboy's Toys in Santee. Although some have required more hiking, its actual location made it a little tough, Maybe it was becuase it was the toughest one I ever broght my kids on. They can make anything tough.
  7. What would be a worthy Trade??????
  8. But I would put her down and the ultimate Geo-Cache Prize. Night Hunter
  9. I would be curious to know which caches in San Diego people have found to be the toughest. Any Comments? Night Hunter
  10. That all sounds great Earl. I will be back by then. And I will even go aaaaaallllll the way up to Escondido .
  11. I believe he is going to put up the page. Hear that Earl, get on it
  12. quote:Since this is a San Diego thread, I'm going to take this opportunity to vent. I attached a geocoin to a TB tag and placed it in the "Ammunition Sgt Cox!" cache by Parsa. Someone removed my geocoin from the TB tag and replaced it with another item! That is MESSED UP! I'm hoping that it wasn't a local cacher who did this... That is messed up. There are places you can get a geo-coin. There is no need to go messing up somebody elses Travel Bug. If we all went around changeing travel bugs as we saw fit, most of the bugs would not even fit the descriptions, and there would be a lot of McDonald's Toy Travel Bugs. Latitude, I am on your side, you were wronged.
  13. Some time in Feb Works better for me too.
  14. I already have my entire caching plan drawn up for the drive out. And I don't have too much worrys about not getting that travel bug. Maybe I will even place one out there somewhere
  15. Yeah, check it out yourself. There are a whole 2 caches in Ajo, AZ. Man, I better pace myself.
  16. I just found out I am being forced into a business trip for the month of January. I will not be able to attend any type of gathering until February.
  17. Does anybody plan on hiking up to the Cowles Mountain Observatry on Sat. Dec 21st to watch the sunrise? I was planning on going up. Hopefully the sunrise will be visible i heard it's supposed to rain on Friday. I was going to grab Team Geckos new cache while there. If anybody is planning on going, maybe we could meet at the Parking lot at about 6 AM and have a little hiking party. Anybody ever done it? How many people ususally go up?
  18. Yes, definitley make it dog friendly. While I do not have a dog, there are many dogs that I feel like I know just from the logs.
  19. My first thought was that Escondido is sooooooo far north. buth then again, nywhere in the county will have somebody that has to travel a ways to get there. Besideds that, Carivercpl from Corona has already expressed an interest in coming down. So Escondido probally would work as well as anyplace else. I can't help but notice that this thread has been view almost 175 times. I think some other people should speak up too. Or else do you think it will be just me and you, Earl, Mr. Ringmaster????
  20. yea, sounds easy. Jan 18th sounds cool so far. But something else to think about. With the superbowl in town this year, we may have a few extra geocachers in town (or we may not) if we did it on Sat., Jan 25th, Super Bowl Weekend. Of course I don't know how many people make other plans for the whole weekend. I know I only make plans for the Sunday itslef.
  21. Ooops my bad. I spoke from memory, and should have re-researched my facts. I am sorry to have misspoke about the Travelers. Maybe they will all show up someday as mysteriously as they disapeared.
  22. LaurieAnn2 is missing from Frogs on a Mission. Traveling Tommy is missing from Crystal Tower Cache. Clifford - Let's Go Tubin' is missing from Stairmaster. Sailor Bear is missing from Old Camp Elliot. Sailor Bear has since been reported to the owners who grabbed it to remove it from the cache it dissapeared from. It must still be missing since it hasn't moved since. I only know of the two incidents of The Travelers logging in the logbook that they took Sailor Bear and LaurieAnne2. I read in an on-line log that somebody else saw the log in the logbook, and I don't know about the others. They may have signed them out and nobody reported it. And I still have yet to find those caches so I haven't checked the actual logbook. The Bugs have been missing since as long ago as February, but most went missing around June/July
  23. does anybody have any clue what has been happening to some of the travel bugs in the area. I know of four different bugs that have completely dissapeared. at least two of them have logs in the logbook saying that somebody called The Travelers picked them up. But no logs were ever made on-line. Does anybody have any other information or know of other missing bugs or ever heard of anybody calling themselves the Travelers????
  24. I understand that the last picnic had a great turn out, but how was the location, and the way everything was set up. Do we want to do something like that again. Anybody have any suggestions for a different place?
  25. Wow, I guess I did just barely miss the last picnic. I started Geocaching on April 28th. I remember the date so exactly because it was after dinner with my uncle on my birthday. And I have yet to run into another cacher in the field. So this sounds like a great idea to me.
