  1. FTF hound? Oh ya, you know it! After 5,000 plus normal finds, the numbers thing has lost some of it's shine, but we still love to snag the FTF's as often as we can. By the way, who do you know or have heard of that has the most FTF's?
  2. I too have had this problem for a couple weeks now. I keep a list of how many people find my cache so I know when to go and change the log. I went the other day and according to the emails I got the log should have had 5 spaces left. In actuality the log was full and people had been signing on the back side. I went and looked on the cache page and sure enough, 9 people had logged "finds" but I never got an email notification on any of them. What's up with the email notification on cache finds????
  3. I just noticed this as well. When I generate the "My Finds" P.Q. it shows all the events and web cams I have attended/done as the "closed treasure chest" icon instead of the "open treasure chest" icon. Is this being looked at by anyone to fix this minor error?
  4. I would love to have this feature as well.
  5. Clyde gave a great answer to this on Dec 30th. Go back a few days and everything you need is right there. Clyde is the bomb!!!
  6. Yes! CacheMate has this option. Just open it up and you can sort either way, go back and forth on the fly or what ever. And GSAK can even export a cachemate file!
  7. Speaking of macros, what would be kind of neat is if there were a place we could go and look at some macros that do certain things. Maybe someone has made a macro to do whatever, they could then send it to someplace so that everyone else that might want to do this could use it as well. Kind of like a data base of macros? I think this would be very benificial to everyone. What do you all think?
  8. I was wondering about this (comparing multiple PQ's) myself. I know currently we have the ability to open a folder of PQ's at one time. It would be nice if there was an option to "compare" the PQ's in this folder and either "Keep" or "Delete" the same waypoints. That way we could just make a new folder, dump in all the PQ's we have and let GSAK do it's thing! Now that would be very neat! Dennis
  9. That sounds good and all, but I got three words for ya......You The Man!!! Thanks alot... Dennis
  10. You could run your pq today and he run his tomorrow. Load yours, then load his. The ones not updated from his pq would be ones only in yours. Running yours again, the day after his would filter more out. 7 That sound like 2 or 3 days time. I would prefer to be able to do this at anytime with 2 PQ generated on the same day. Sometimes we go on a run on a moments notice.
  11. This may sound like a strange question, but here goes anyway. Is there a way to take 2 pocket quiries and compare them against each other and only keep the caches that are in each PQ? By that I mean this: Me and a friend go on cache runs sometimes and we only want to stop at caches neither of us have done yet. So he does a PQ and I do a PQ and then we compare the two to see where we want to go. If I could get GSAK to compare them and only list the caches BOTH of us need it would be great! Dennis
  12. I just activated my first travel bug today. It is designed to fit in 35mm film canisters. All I had to do was bend it in a circle that would fit the inside diamater of the film canister (I used a screw driver handle). Take a look at it, it should work for you as well. Its' id# is TBG0ZX. Also with this simple modification, the log will still fit in the film canister with no problems at all. Dennis C. Fawver
  13. I just checked and I have the latest verion of the mouse drivers installed. I am using the Logitech drivers, NOT the windows drivers. I am using a Logitech MX500 optical mouse. This is not a big deal, I was just curious about it. If it won't work, oh well. I can still use the up and down arrows.
  14. Hello all. I am kind of new to posting in this type of group, so if I mess something up please forgive me. The question I have is dealing with GSAK and a scroll mouse. When I click on the "Help" icon and the help screen that pops up says "GSAK Main Screen" at the top of the page and has a picture of the program a little lower in the window that you can click on various parts of it to get help on that section. My mouses scroll wheel will NOT work on this page at all. It works fine in the normal program but not in this help page. I emailed Clyde about this and he says that all his computers work just fine in this area and no one else has said anything about this. Has any one else came across this besides me? Maybe it because I am running Win 98 Second Edition still? Can someone else check this to see if you are having this minor problem as well? Oh, I have this problem in verion 5 as well as the prior version of GSAK. Thanks... Dennis C. Fawver
  15. What are the differences from Metro Guide North America V5 to V6? Is it worth the upgrade price? What do some of you think? Dennis
  16. Hello all... I am kind of new to this area of the web site, so please forgive me if this has been covered before. What I would like to see (if it's not available now) is to have the ability when you are looking at caches using the "Map It" feature to be able to "hide" the caches you have already found. Not just put a check mark on top of them. I would think this would make it easier to find caches you have not found yet. Especially if you have found a few caches that is close to some you have not. It would clear up some clutter on the screen. What do you all think? Or if this is possible to do now, please let me know how! Dennis Fawver FawverFamily
  17. I just checked my check marks and they seem to be there, but now all the ones I have NOT found don't show up? Any one else having this issue? Dennis
