  1. Happy Christmas - no caching, but plenty of eating and fun - and a really good 2013 to you all!
  2. I am not a greasemonkey script expert, and perhaps better to ask on a greaemonkey user board. I think the problem is that the association is incorrect in your browser. Thus when you click on the script, the browser thinks its a text file and displays it, rather than knowing it is a script and intalling/executing it. Thanks Anton - that makes sense - will try there - hoop dat jullie een prettige kerstfeest een gelukkige nieuwe jaar mogen hebben
  3. I've used GC Waypoint finder before a useful script which pus a GC find button on the Geocaching banner, but it stopped working on my computer - tried to reload it but when I get to the correct page and hover over the install button it says Install script, but when I click it it comes up with a few pages of actual code. I tried the same on my laptop and it goes to the correct screen Greasemonkey installation and will install it. Also on the script page under the install icon I find the instructions - To install, right-click on the icon, and select "Install User Script". If you do not see the menu option, click on the icon to open the file in a new tab (or window), and select "Install This User Script" from the Tools menu. But when I right-click I don't get the option and when I open the file there is not that option on the Tools menu. Any suggestions would be welcome.
  4. Well done on your 1500 AndyT1 - many more!
  5. I did 1 challenge and I never received an email, in fact I just went back through my trash and do not have one, I do get the newsletters though. When people are surprised it's usually not a good thing, why not put it on the main challenge page on the website? Ditto and I did more than 1 challenge???
  6. I saw something about 3D on Garmin basecamp program - but don't know if this is where it comes from
  7. Is it really worth it - except for the beacon challenge they were, as you say, lame!
  8. what must the muggles think? Just love it!
  9. Well said Br&Pc! I started in 2006 and really enjoyed being shown different places, the numbers unimportant and as for badges and belts I don't even know what they are or how they are achieved. But enjoy going out with friends and family and signing a few good cache logs, but I guess it amounts to each his own!
  10. Well done paddawan and adilawson - now to pluck up the courage!
  11. Great stuff and congrats to CnC, Huskies and Henzz on this wonderful achievement!
  12. That's kinda worrying - one CapeDoc can be bad enough imagine 640 of the darn things!
  13. Hi Boemslang - I use a Vista Cx - which is very similar to the Legend and it is fine for caching - be aware though that the trend these days is paperless and although the Legend has maps it cannot store any other info other than the name and coordinates.
  14. I would take it as a bit of an insult if you logged "no comment" on one of my caches! Wow even TFTC is better than that!
  15. The Etrex Legend uses a normal USB cable - only the basic yellow etrex uses the serial connector?
  16. Congrats on the 1000 MnCo - and may you have many more!
  17. Wow - well done iPajero!
  18. get to "find Waypoints" press third button on left when list appears scroll down to delete and then you have a choice of All symbols - geocaches - geocache found, etc
  19. you need to be moving for the arrow to point in the correct direction - also as said before check the distance if it is counting down you're going in the right direction.
  20. I use Firefox and it seems to happen to me also irregularly!
  21. Congrats terunkie - 1000 I love geocaching badges - well done and many more.
  22. At last we know who cracked Magnum GC2XWPD - and this 13 months after it was placed! The Cape cachers have been scratching their heads and not getting very far, but Malo Mystery solved it a little while ago - Well done to you!
  23. As I understand it just a way of giving each cache an unique number - no meaning beyond the GC
