On geocaching.com - it says i have 212 finds. Your Geocaching Logs (Filtered by Log Type) and filter it to 'found', it shows 206 'found' logs and my personal count, and in GSAK my find count is 208. Please can someone help me make sense of this confusion

Before people moan - i love my gc and if it ain't broke, why fix/replace it. Nor can i afford to get a new one Anyway.... I am getting back into geocaching and while i have had the device hooked up to my pc to power the unit, I noticed when i was in the home screen and chose menu there was an option to "connect to pc". This has now vanished and i was wondering if anyone knows how i can get it back. secondly, i have updated my GCawards file on the device to show the breakdown of how many of each type of gc i have found. The total of all is 202. But when looking at the lifetime finds - the total is, apparently 161! Does anyone know how i can change it? Thanks Roz

Hi I was wondering is there a way of telling my Dakota 10 how many Geocache I have already found. At the moment, it is showing I have found none, but I want it to display 158 - how can I change it. Thanks Roz

Firstly. I am epileptic Second, due to chronic pain, I have very limited use of both hands.

Basically, it's for 2 main reasons 1) For health and mobility reasons the sudden zooming out can cause problems and it doesn't help seeing all the geocache i might never be able to find, and 2) i don't want to have to spend everytime i'm on the site having to filter the search, I just want to be able to hit search, then map and not be looking at thousands of geocache i haven't yet and zooming in (on a lifebook) trying to find the area i want.

Hi When i do a search on geocaching.com and select the 'map there results', it opens a new page and then zooms out and shows all geocache withing a radius (i know know how far). I have set no filters, simply done a search and opted to see the results on a map rather than a list. is there anyway i can stop this? Thanks Roz

It is a 3 layered puzzle, meaning having solved the puzzle of 7+7+6=20....you then do something else. The clue 'SEND MORE MONEY' is one that if you put into Google, you should be able to know what to do next. After that result which will involve a bit of arithmetic (there is no number 9 in that answer) its not too far to put that into the cache equation using a different clue on the cache page. Me and a friend are going back to Wells tomorrow, with the main purpose of finding the above geocache, called Close to Vicars Close. This will be our 6th or 7th time of trying to find it, with no luck. I've pm'd the owner and never heard back. Checked the profile - they've not logged in since January. I'm going on holiday next Friday with a coach full of Guides. I would really like to go geocaching whilst I'm there and have found quite a few in the area we're staying/visiting. I was just wondering, when i transfer the geocache details onto my explorist GC (at the moment, I am saving them into a bookmark list, then I will create a pocket query from it) - will the details be translated into English? I am going to Austria with a coach full of Guides next Friday, and I really want to go geocaching whilst i'm there. I have already started a bookmark list for the trip, adding geocache (individually) of the area where we're staying (within a 2 mile radius), disneyland paris etc. But i've just looked up 2 of the other places we're visiting, and there's quite a few i want to add to the list. Basically, my question is - can i add multiple geocache to my already made bookmark list? Roz

I have a magellan explorist gc, and I want to use it to complete a 9 stage geocache tomorrow - GC2GPX8. When I orginally did it, i used my Garmin etrex H but i want to let my Guide unit use it on Wednesday night. So i want to be able to use my GC as a back up. How do i create a 'route' on my GC to point a to b to c and so on. Roz

That's what I do, but what about the ones already loaded in vantage point

When I look at the map on vantage point, it shows ALL the geocache I have downloaded in PQs, but when I look at it I can't tell which I've found and which I haven't without going into it. Compared to the map on geocaching.com where you get a smiley face over 'found' - I don't see any way of differentiating between found and not yet found, and when I synced vantage point with my GC I was looking at the map, thinking I've found that one, and that, and that one!!! So I want to be able to hide/delete all my 'found' geocache from vantage point or have some way of filtering them out so they don't appear on my gps unit

Does anyone know if/how i can change the Geocache Summary screen? It currently displays 'Lifetime found' as 2, I've actually found 75!

Yea, I see it's just a blank txt file now on my unit. sorry about that. I can't find an a file with that either and I checked the xml, ini, and txt files. I'm glad it's not me!
