Are you getting all the Black Nickel coins from trades included with the purchases... or are you doing all the purchases first?

Tried polishing one of them up today, but I still don't have it the way I want. If I do get them the way I want then I'll trade these, but there are only 20 and there will not be a second run of this design.

Alright... here it is... I may try to buff them up with my Dremel before I scrap them. Here is my first attempt... Wanted to try something basic until I got the kinks worked out... probably wasn't basic enough. Design was a little different than what I got.

Finished my first attempt at a FIMO token... baking them right now... basically using the baking process for a test... I'm not 100% happy with them. But I'v learned some from it. I'll have to modify my plan and go from there. I'll post an image of the best of them after they are finished... but don't get too excited. Have to work on my technique.

I tried the intricate way tonight... but I'm afraid I don't have the patience to do this... I think I will make a mold and set up a stamp type system. Maybe try the other way at a later date. As usual... I see the image and how to do it in my head, but my hands don't want to cooperate at the moment. I think I will take a piece of metal and make a cookie cutter type also... don't know exactly what I'm doing here... just have to attempt it and scrap it if necessary. Heck... I got 6 packs of FIMO and it didn't cost me anything. Someone else bought it for me, so worst case... I'm only out time.

I'm planning an attempt at a FIMO token... any suggestions out there?

So basically you bought stolen property.... so that makes it right to resale it then?

But if you think about it.... you are basically saleing something you have permission to hold/use. Here's an example that might make sense. You borrow your neighbors "mountain bike"... he knows you have it. You know he's the owner. He said you can use it or give it away or give it back. Not sale it. So if you sale it, you are saleing someone else's property. It's not abandoned since he knows you have it and you know you have it... and he can track where it is. So at no point is that "mountain bike" yours to sale. Just my $0.02

I do have to say... I used to think it was a good idea.... until I ran across one in a cache. Would possibly been different if the coin was listed as a copy, but no... it was just a laminated picture. Kinda ruined the experience of finding a coin in a cache that day. I even logged the cache that the picture needed to stay in the cache so that other cachers might save the time expended in hunting for it.

Sad thing is... if I had stated that I had some personal reasons for saleling these coins, apparently it would have been ok (according to other threads). But I have enough respect for myself to not publish my personal/financial issues online, so I decided to just say my coins were for sale. But since I haven't been arround here as long as others, I guess someone had to be made an example of. Instead of deleting the thread, it could have just been moved to the Garage Sale forum since while not trackable, they are geocaching related. Thanx.

If you search a particular auction site.... you will see a 40 coin lot of geocoins. Most are trackable on www.geocaching.com. Starting bid is $250.00 which is only $6.25 per coin. Thanx to everyone. I will have a few more coins when some long awaited sales arrive. I will probably sale or activate them. Since I find myself enjoying finding signature items more often than the few coins...
