  1. 4 Texas Geocaching Coins (Came in Air Tite Cases) 4 CITO 2006 2 Triple Wisdom
  2. Just wondering when you will be sending invoices and when the expected production/shipping dates are. Thanx
  3. .... wipes my brow .... Boy am I glad I just got into collecting coins or else I'd be in here steaming with the rest of you guys. I'm sure I would have bought one of these too. Well, if they ever arrive I'll have to try to get one, but I think people might wanna high value for them for their troubles. Definately don't feel like contacting the seller for any left-overs. ... well... I'm gonna run now before all the stones start flying at me ... In all seriousness, I wish you guys the best of luck. I have been in your shoes over an E-bay item before and I know how frustrating it can be. But... I am serious about wanting one.
  4. My suggestion is to give it to Moun10Bike, since without him, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
  5. Sent an E-mail for 2.... Reminds me of playing Pac-man for hours with my dad in the early 80's Gotta love 'em!
  6. http://pc-mobile.net/mex100.htm It's a website for a cable made to connect to the Explorist 100/200/300
  7. Actually you can connect the Explorist 200 to a pc, but it requires an aftermarket cable and learning how to transfer the data. Check here for more info: http://pc-mobile.net/mex100.htm
  8. Yes, it holds 1000. I currently have 540 on it. That's 500 Not found from a query, 2 new caches I quickly added today, and my 38 Finds. I was just curious if there was a way to get up to 1000 without using 4 queries to get a larger area of coverage. I guess I could just grab one from the 2 major cities I may visit, but I like the idea of just a larger radius in case I'm just in the area so to speak. I wanted a way to keep a current list. You 4000 is nice, but I'd hate to find out that a cache had been disabled and I didn't know only because I hadn't run a current search. Thanx for the reply though. Anyone else have a suggestion? 9. http://www.easygps.com Go to the downloads section and grab it there.
  10. Try using a different program to move your waypoints.... I use EasyGPS and I haven't had a problem with it, even with my USB adapter.
  11. I'm curious what the best method is to get more than the 500 pocket query limit on my Legend. I would still like to have a similar radius if possible. I don't have to have a full 1000 waypoints since I may need to add one during placing a cache or trying to find my vehicle, etc. Is there a way to grab 500 in each of the four directions and then grabbing the closest 950 or so and add them? Or do I need to grab 500 from the nearest 4 major cities near me and then compile them together and grab what I want? Any info would be great. Thanx, MetroGT
  12. First off confirm that the USB serial is set to COM4... I have one serial in the back, but most PCs have the internal connections for a second and therefore my USB set mine to COM3. Second, you mention that you only have one COM port and since you aren't using it, I will assume you are using paperless caching and have a Palm or similar device connected to it. If that's the case you may have the Hotsync Software running in the background trying to attach to that port. Good luck!
  13. Thanx! I did notice that my Geko 101 had marked my house incorrectly... I was freaking out... my Legend told me my house was 333ft away from where I was standing... so I marked an intersection in front of my house with my Legend and then went inside and marked both coordinates into Mapsource and the Legend was within a ft or two and the Geko was off by at least 300 ft. I'm feeling a little better about it. But if this is the case... is it just better than the ones the people placing the caches near me are using? Oh well, I'll try to check a benchmark tomorrow.
  14. I started up both of my GPS-R's and at any point the Long. can be up to .005 different on my Legend. I plotted two points on Mapsource and set on to .005 differnt and then routed the two. It was 19ft different. Is there a way to check my accuracy of my GPS-R so see which one is right?
  15. I just got my eTrex Legend the other day and I've taken it out on a few caches. But what I'm wondering is how accurate is it? I've noticed that my old Geko 101 would point out the cache faster and more accurately. Now some caches, the Legend will get more accurate after a while, while some will show the cache in a different direction and away from it by up to 35 ft. This is when I have an accuracy listed around 15ft. So, is it my Legend or is it the caches? Do I need to do a system reset to fix a problem or is it just the way it is and it is slower to access the site. I've also lost my satelite signal once while driving... not many clouds and not a lot of trees... Just curious if I need to return this one or if I'm expecting too much out of this thing. Thanx for any info. MetroGT
  16. I'm new to GeoCoins. I found my first two today. My question is this... How do you tell if a Geocoin is intended to be a trade item (SWAG) vs. a trackable bug? Like I stated previously, I found two today. The first was a coin by itself and the second was a coin with a note stating that is was a trackable. I wasn't going to be able to restash the coin for a few days near home so I decided not to take the trackable. But I have seen people talking about trading and collecting geocoins and that's the reason I went after these two in hope of finding a trade coin. When I got home and tracked the coin it turns out it is trackable and that it just doesn't have a goal. So is there anyway to determine without me logging into the site and checking, or should it have a note saying that it is unactivated or for trade? So it looks like this one is going back out and I will either have to buy one or keep looking for one to collect. Thanx, MetroGT
