I don't see many webcam caches. I am thinking about putting one up. So if a webcam was at a private residence would you be discouraged to go there? "My mind works like lightning: One brilliant flash and it is gone."

Since you are not hunting animals, for adults you can use good flea and tick collars around your ankles, or if you are cheap (like me), dip a rag in some kerosene and tie it around your ankles (be aware this could cause you grief if you smoke or if there is some freak mishap). I use Avon Skin So Soft for my daughter (she is 6). It is a recommended bug deturent used by many summer camps accross the nation (it does work rather well). I did not register until I tried the game. I feel that one should not become a member unless they like it, and are able to give it a try. If they must login, the work and cost for the site admin/owner would become greater. They would have to weed out the people that signed up and never returned. Unless the system is set to clear out the members that haven't signed in in 180 days? This could open a whole host of rules in itself. The ability to poke about the site freely is an asset to the site.

It seems the government is never happy with anything that they didn't come up with, or are not able to tax. The caches would go missing if kids or some jerk not knowing what it was, were to find it anyway. I doubt if the park board is watching this site to find the caches anyhow. So just hide them a bit better off the beaten path. Next time I am in the area, I will be sure to hide one there just for kicks. All property left for any length of time is usually deemed abandoned, within legal discretion.

I am new to looking for caches as well. However, on my first attempt, I discovered that the Easy GPS program didn't seem to to get the right coordinates or I was entering them wrong, and I was miles off. Therefore, manually entering the coordinates and verifying them has helped a great deal. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistance.
