ive only just found out about this and was mainly disappointed cos its my dad's cache and i didnt even get the chance to find it before it was archived! having said that ive not spoken to him for a few days which is how i didnt know it was going to be archived. dad's the kind of bloke who would remove it to avoid any arguments at all and keep life peaceful or as he says 'harmonious'. as you say its a shame but not much that can be done.

myself and my "better half" have been buying two coins one for release and one for our personal collection. We are not geocoinholics but we like the idea of something that is limited being released for people too enjoy! i don't care if people treat them as bugs, i get irate at the cacher's that steal them.

Just been to a cache to see if i could find my girlfriends Geocoin "free's pengy & tigger" but it was not there. the disturbing thing is that the logbook has been written in on 05/03/06 by someone who appears not too be a member and has been there before with another cacher!
