Mine Is Missing as well. Im checking the log date to see if its in AU dateline or US.

I came in at number 70 to complete the challenge on a very cold hail filled day we were lucky an event had been put on.

I was wondering if there is some way to see who has completed this task i.e a log?

Ok finally getting around to placing caches but I cant print the cache stash note from the geocaching hide/seek page - is there another link or web page?

You could always try leading by example. I note you have over 800 finds since October 2011...and zero hides. Thats the plan waiting for 1,000 finds. I also posed the question with alot fewer caches found.

Was wondering which caches have gone down in this round of fires.

Was at an event and had intended to take a tb from it on its journey but thought it was picked up by another cacher at event, owner has messaged and im attributed to have it - ugh feel awful im sure it was left with the group. Have quadrouple checked that it did not come with us and went as far as pm everyone I could from the event. No luck feel very sad. Wont offer to take a tb in this situation again unless it in my hands. But I agree there seems to be so few around. Maybe they are all going to oz mega?

Having cached a bit more since I placed this original posting, I am surprised there isn't a specific event days where learning how to place caches and how to use some of the associated hardware and software is shared.

Have a look to see if you have any events near you, a great place to buddy up. Also look to see the caches around your home , sent the cache owners a message and ask for help. Happy caching - if all else fails neongeo and Groundspeak are android aps which are simple for the phone.

in the end I installed unistalled and spent alot of time looking for a fix sent the unit back and they gave me a whole new unit so far so good.

OK so how do I fix the issue do I just use another browser?

Thanks I was just so mad at Magellan, we really had only just started using gsak (badly) and the problems occured seemed sus. I am still finding that our spare magellan ends up with alot of information missing. I really am lost so much to read and take in really need a hardware sorftware event full of boffins to help. I am using Neon geo in the interim which is good except i cant create wp and plug in coords for a multi.

Thanks so much yes I use gmail for my account. Do I re logg the ones they have done with me or do they just start from new? My experience with gsak is pretty grim at the moment im blaming it for torching my Magellan which is 6mth old. Did not have a problem till I started downloading with gsak.

GGGRRRRR Kids finally want their own account. I really dont want to set up 4 email accounts is there a way non premium/family accounts can go to one email?

I would be emailing the cache owner to remove the log, it is my understanding that the owner of a cache has the ability to do this.

OS stands for Operating System. BTW, Communicator works fine in Chrome. Fiefox. i spoke to Magellan the unit is on its way back....Not impressed with the customer service....It will be interesting to see if it comes back under warranty its only a Nov purchase. i think ill be looking for another gps at this rate not that I was a huge fan of this one.

Do some research I am having so much trouble with this unit I am unable to load caches and now it has no satelite connection. Off to ring for support again.

Blah unit died today now does not pick up satelites........grrrrrrrrd

Going back to 21 seems to have fixed it. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using Windows XP, btw.

Its funny i have two magellan gps and two laptops the issue only occurs on one laptop ive been trying to delete the file so i can start afresh but in control pannel it cant handle it. It works well on the other laptop i have tried deletin and re writing with the latest upgrade but it wont load. I think there is data missing whic h is why it does not detect the gps but with no way to remove it or overwrite it i guess im stuck im calling magellan monday.
