  1. Holding another mapping party April 4th and 5th. Hope to see you there.
  2. I'm trying to promote OpenStreetMap among geocachers. It's a free and open set of geodata made by the community. You can do many interesting things with that data, but of specific interest to geocachers is the ability to download free maps to your Garmin GPS receiver. To improve the map, we hold mapping parties. I'm hosting one in Baltimore both days this weekend, at Red Emmas from 10AM to 4PM. 3. The best part about OpenStreetMap (OSM) is that it's like a wiki for maps. If you find some place where you get misrouted (e.g. wrong way down a one-way street), you can just pop up an OSM editor, and fix it. As soon as you hit 'save', your changes are in the map and shared with everyone. The reverse side of that coin is: if OSM makes you happy, plan to re-create your mapset once a month, because the map is growing that quickly. If anybody is curious about editing OpenStreetMap, drop me an email: russ@cloudmade.com
  4. Any hope of ever having a Nokia n810 Wherigo player? The n810 runs Linux, and there's a C# interpreter for Linux, so it's not a completely crazy idea.
