I don't know that the appology offered by MrGigabyte is entirely acceptable. T am still left with the nagging feeling that there are other locationless cahces logged that were faked and have not been uncovered yet. If MrGigabyte allowed one of his graphic artists to post these finds, who else was allowed to post what other finds in his name? How many of his finds are legitamate? Can I ever again give any credability to MrGigabyte? Indeed the victim here may be MrGigabyte himself.

If you are trying to determine activitty then make a list of the number of days since your last forum post, your last find, your last not found, your last cache placed, or whatever your last indulgence was. select the lowest number of days in this list. This would be your activity quotient. The closer it is to zero, the more active you are. The higher the number, the less likely that you are even reading this post. This would level out the effects of population density, cache density, players experience and the like. What could be fairer?
My activity Quotient just dropped to Zero!

You may be making a mountain out of a molehill. Set up a VC, give it a try. You can always deactivate it if the e-mail becomes over-whelming. We have two VC's set-up, one is very new. The other has generated 13 finds in six weeks. Figure it for yourself. I think I can safely set-up a dozen or so without exceeding my capacity to respond to verifications.

Vash, one of your hobbies you have stated in your profile is "improvement of self" ... admirable. Now lighten up, it's only a game. If a bug's destination or time in route are critical, send it by UPS or FedEx. "The willow will stand when the oak snaps because the willow will bend with the wind"

Two issues trouble me.
The first is my belief that every "normal" cache is potentially a "bug Hotel" and the second is the concept of sombody enroute dropping a bug off before the player reaches their destination.

I have mixed emotions about this issue. Having been suckered in by Majicman and his alteregos, I would like to see a lid put on it. Then, I think of navigating the groups on Yahoo.com and I can't say I want that kind of thing. I developed an application at work that management found useful enough to protect. IT put in the security and now I don't have the clearance to maintain it.
.
If you want to remove or prevent unwanted logs at your caches, it is probably best for all concerned to build that into the logging process for yourself rather than asking to have it implemented across the board. I know that before I respond to a suspicious post on the discussion pages, I will check the poster's profile to keep from becoming another mark for a troll or handpuppet.

LOL! Loving every bit of the saga related by you and your finders. First trip back... you waited until the cache was three days old. How could you take it?
.
Welcome aboard unseasoned veteran [newbie]. It won't be long before you become a seasoned newbie like Trudy & the Beast. Don't ever lose that enthusiasm.

When are you going to get that new Geocaching 4X4?

I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Now about that replacement....
You probably told her something to the effect of "I need to replace my GPSr"
Try buying the new one as a gift for her so that you can enjoy geocaching together. You can always replace yours later.

If $ are a consideration, the basic Garmin eTrex is feature loaded, If $ are not that reat of a consideration, I would go with Garmin Map76s.

We are looking forward to loggini our 100th. This is quite an accomplishment and you have a right to gloat. But, check this: http://www.wi-geocaching.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/000047.html
Lil Otter's family is very proud of her. There is no reason to rain on your parade, that was not my intention. We are all happy for you and will support you through your 200th, 300th or whatever.

Isn't it good enough to know that other geocachers are paying attention to your efforts, rather than being ignored? As a geocacher, I hope that others will take an interest in the caches I place. Knowing who takes an interest is of little consequence since I probably would not know them anyway. Performers go on stage without getting the names of the people in their audience. The number of seats filled by an audience is much like the number watching a cache. This tells me if I am doing something right.
Who is watching? I don't know. God love them for they are giving me a vote of confidence. The more that watch, the happier I am. Does that make me a geoexhibitionist?

Start caching or get out of the forums. We don't need punks like you.

Here is another string and an appropriate answer to the question of what to take along.
