I use a IIIxe and Cachemate. I've not had any problems loading over 1500 caches into it and you can still find IIIxe's around very cheap

I'm sitting at home with a nice case of PI!! When I noticed a rash about a day or so after caching I said Q$%$%^ luckily Geogranny had given me some Buji go go wash packs which worked great (the wash had grit in it so washing the oil off was a bit of nirvana ) but sadly I had missed a spot or two !@#$#$@#% oh well It's almost gone now and I have more Buji on order

Whats up now????? I just got notification of some new caches and the first one opened all right but now I can't open any cache page new or old all I get is a blank screen and it says done loading???????????????????????

dadgum fine idea! Do you use Firefox? Prime Suspect has a Grease Monkey script that puts a list of your logs at the top of the cache page. That's something else that would be pretty cool if implemented. The name of that script is Totals By Log Type (one piece of this script has now been used by Geocaching.com)and because it only works if you click show all logs I also use Show all Logs to do that automatically P.S. I just tried the Gallery Enhancer What a difference that make in viewing log pics

I found the link to the Garmin Communicator Plugin It was in the web updater part. I tried it out before it disappered off the cache page, works fine on my 60Cx but you might lose a few numbers off the end with a yellow etrex because of the longer GC#'s

It looked like a RINO unit to me, with the double antennas. They've used GPS units before on AR. One season, the contestants had to travel by camel from one point to another, and were given GPSs as their only guide. Yes it was a rino unit and I don't think they were looking for a geocache I believe it had something todo with a roadblock or something involving going somewhere using the gps. Now if ABC would just bring back the Treasure Hunter show that would be great

If your wondering about the story that goes with the above link here it is got an e-mail from my terracaching/hiking buddy xxx xxxxxx yesterday which didn't bode well. He hardly ever puts a subject on his e-mails, so when I saw @%@##** as the subject, I knew something crappy must have happened. A better subject would have been "Ever wonder what the insides of a month old $500 GPS looks like?" I guess he was out doing some hiking, and ended up leaving his GPS on the rear bumper of his RAV4, and ended up driving off. When he came back an hour later, there wasn't a whole lot left. So that sucks, but his experience should help me remember my GPS in the future. I will be headed down to visit xxx in about a month, so we will see if he has replaced it by then.

Some hardcore geocachers have found a way to load caches as POI's (points of intrest) so they can cram 5000 caches or more onto the memory card. Thankfully Binrat isn't that bad yet

Checked that and they are in the bmp format. If I download from GSAK to my GPS then upload to Mapsource I get the custom symbols. Its just from GSAK to Mapsource, they don't like each other ha ha

Well I'm stumped I've loaded the Custom symbols into my 60Cx and GSAK and everything works fine when I load the gps but when I send the info to Mapsource I get black squares instead of the custom symbols. I know I saw a fix for it somwhere but I can remember where Help!!!

You'll want to get GSAK I think it's the best tool for managing your WP's and it's not that expensive.
