  1. Recently everything I've been interested in/curious about has led to you G-X! Did you used to have a travelbug decal on it?
  2. Walking back from the paint shop, I couldn't help but notice a certain decal on a metallic blue facelift Land Rover Discovery. I guess the driver might not be on here, but I thought it's worth a try!
  3. Is it possible to take caches out of archive/unarchive them (or however else you want to word it!), or is it a case of; once it goes in, it never comes back?
  4. I just had a look on the cache page, but sadly I can't; 'Qualifying cache must be active (ie. not archived)'. Thank you for letting me know though!
  5. Thanks Markandlynn! How do you search for archived caches? It was the first link by the way Rattys Adventure (GC1H7F9), turns out it's one of G-X's old caches. It seems a bit odd though as on 12/17/2010 couldn't find it himself, and on 01/29/2011 he archived it, and I found the cache when I wasn't even looking for it!
  6. After having a look around, I think the cache in question is called 'Ratty'. http://shiltonpig.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/old-mcdonald-has.html Does anyone know the owner of the cache, or why it is no longer listed?
  7. After going for a walk yesterday around Calke Abbey, without my iPhone, and stumbling across a cache by chance, it was surprising to do a similar thing today. We went over to Foremark Resevoir for a walk and cache, mainly to see if 'Cup of tea beside the sea' (GC1KQ1M) was really gone forever (which it sadly is), after messaging G-X a couple of times. At a point between where that cache should have been and where 'A Reserview' (GCA086) we strayed from the path to have a closer look at an intersting rock formation and tree, only to discover a test tube type cache which was disguised. It hadn't been found since 28/11/10, exactly a year and four months to the day, needless to say I logged it anyway, despite the fact it doesn't show up anywhere! I have taken a photo of the disguised cache and taken a screenshot of the coordinates of the location too, but I'm not sure whether posting them up would be a good idea? Any help would be much appreicated!
  8. It's on pages 34-37, not a bad little article, but after unexpectedly stumbling on a National Trust cache I wasn't expecting to be reading about them in my new magazine! Also, going off topic, the National Trust caches I found were OpenCaching.org by Garmin, but were on here too...
  9. After getting a copy of Coast magazine free with a couple of others last month, I thought I'd buy an issue, as I quite liked it, but before I had chance to read it, I went out on a nice afternoon walk at a National Trust property nearby to me. Much to my annoyance my iPhone was on charge at home, which meant no caching, or so we thought, after walking around for almost two hours, my dad (who is familiar with caching), pokes his head into a hollow tree only to pull out a National Trust cache! What are the odds! Rambling aside, when I got home I began to flick through the magazine only to find a feature on caching, but more specifically, National Trust caches, crazy coincidence! There is an amazing looking competition, but as the title of the magazine would suggest, it's a coastal themed caching competition, so sadly I can't enter, not for the first part at least Would I be allowed to post a photo of said article for others to enjoy?
  10. Logging into another account didn't work for me, but deleting and reinstalling the app worked
  11. How do you log out on the app? All I can find is 'change user' but you need to log into another account for it to sign me out of mine...
  12. I sorted this myself I was given the code wrongly! Correct layout is below: GIFT-XXXXXXXXXX So GIFT (in capitals), no space, hyphen, no space and the ten digit code, at least this is what worked for me!
  13. I've been given a premium membership but I am having trouble when trying to add it to my account. When I put my code in on the page I get the following message "The Groundspeak Gift Membership field contains an invalid code. Please re-enter your code and confirm that there are no additional spaces." Are the codes supposed to be 10 digits, mine seems to be; 3 letters - 1 number - 1 letter - 2 numbers - 3 letters Can anyone help?
  14. As people have already said, dropping a pin on Google Maps is the simplest way to do this for the time being. There are apps which are made specifically for you to find where you parked your car, but why spend money on another app when Google Maps does the same thing already?
  15. No a bad price at all, and free shipping too. Nice little array of Geocaching bits and bobs included, especially the Geocoin, brilliant for people starting out!
  16. Sorry keewee can you delete both th wanted threads I put up please!
  17. You did Captain Zulu, but I forgot I didn't know, I hope I haven't offended her!
  18. Thanks for that Maine Family! I forgot to mention I am in the UK though I may have found one from somone I just bought a geocoin off, doh!
  19. Oh no! Just after I bought that Hang Loose geocoin from him as well!
  20. I'm after an unactivated My Two Cents geocoin (is it a geocoin?) if anyone has one available?
  21. I'm after an unactivated My Two Cents geocoin (is it a geocoin?) if anyone has one available?
  22. You know you are a geocoin addict when you open your purse to pay at the checkout and you have to ask if they have change for an event coin...
  23. I think he's talking about the 'bug' or glitch of bein able to find your own cache, this gaining an extra 1 added to your found caches total?
