  1. I agree with Attila and Shannah. People who can afford to contribute to this wonderful world of geocaching can contribute. If I could afford it, I would. Why should someone who is less fortunate be left out? It's not so much as "being less fortunate", but I feel that if someone is so "into" geocaching and they don't have the extra money, why should they be excluded? You are to have fun, and that is all!!! Fun = Satisfaction, right? Candie Upinyachit P.S. You go, Team Dragon! Yea!! Our feet go where the caches are!
  2. Everyone makes "editing" mistakes. To each his own. Let your conscience be your guide. How many of you log a miss? We do when ever we don't find one. It's only fair. Obviously the point of logging your find is to "keep score", sorta speak. Any time we don't find one, we log it as such. Upinyachit Our feet go where the caches are!

  4. We have been bringing our dog Chi on caches since he was a puppy. We think he knows exactly what we are doing by now. When we were on vacation in Colorado, we were going on a cache in the Pueblo Reservoir. We left him in the truck, since it was half a mile away. We rolled up the windows 3/4 of the way up. When we were signing the log, all of a sudden, here comes Chi, out of the blue! The dog managed to squeeze out of the window and find us at that far of a distance. We were all amazed. Even though the dog didn't listen, he must be addicted to geocaching like us! There has been times where he has been off of the leash in heavy wooded areas, and he would be sitting at the cache even before we arrived! 6. This is one of our first logs caching without a GPS. We have done some other logs that we didn't have a gps for when we found them, but we still think this one is one of our favorites; it's an amazing story!!! quote:30 Mar 2002 Night Stalker Part 1 of 2 Difficulty: 3 Terrain: 1.5 Well, well, well. I am not sure where to start my report; either in part one or part two; since we found part two first by mistake looking for an entirely different cache!!!! We were looking for the Genesee River Cache in the beginning and went the wrong way. You see, we are a large family with no GPS!!!! So, I will tell my tale in part two!!! 30 Mar 2002 Night Stalker Part 2 of 2 Difficulty: 3 Terrain: 1.5 So, here we are, looking for an entirely different cache, when all of a sudden, just as we were losing hope, one of the children in our pack found the second part of this cache. Which meant what? It meant back to the computer we go, since we weren't looking for this cache in the first place to get part one. Went back home to get it, in the mean time, half of our nine stayed behind waiting with the box of part two. During the time we were gone, the other half managed to find the one we were originally looking for, so that gave us ample opportunity to focus on part one. We raced back excitedly and headed to the you know where, looking for you know who, to open the you know what!!!! Took an hour to get through the part one, remember we have no GPS and we are all on foot; just workin' with the map at lostoutdoors.com!!! This is so great!!!! You people don't even have a clue as to how excited our group was this day!!!! We took some items of equal value to the items we left, such as the glow stick, two key chains, and the screw driver. A jar full of stuff was added. We also took a group picture with our dog, Chi. We also got the george from it to circulate, and left a replacement. We discovered this site two days ago, and we as a group are very much hooked! We have found 3 caches and are very proud of them!!!! Keep up the exciting work, and we will be waiting for more!!!! The Hughes Family Wow, reading that brought back some memories on how exciting it was to geocache for the first time. Now you know why we are hooked so bad after only 5 months. So the answer is YES you can find them without gps, but most likely you will end up getting one anyways! LOL Still hooked, The Hughes Family Upinyachit Our feet go where the caches are!

  8. My wife (CANDIE) received a tip at work. When she got home, she noticed WWW.WHERESGOERGE.COM stamped on it. After going to that site, she noticed a link from someones entry that brought her to that other site. Our family ended up finding quite a few caches on that site. Then somehow we noticed that there was different names showing up in the logs. Thats when we found out that there were two geocaching websites. Our family now enjoys both sites tremendously!!!!!! 10. I think everyone is so off the subject, it's pitiful. How can you sit there and down our beliefs? quote: The thing that amuses me is when other people who have never shot a gun, let alone owned one, get up on their soapbox and start preaching the evils of weapons. I never said that guns were evil. I BELIEVE THEY DON'T BELONG GEOCACHING. DON'T YOU READ???? OF ALL THE &^%$#^( POSTS IN THIS THREAD, YOU PICK ME, OF ALL MEMBERS TO QUOTE. quote: Good grief man, help it already. If you can't find a logical argument, then please, prevent yourself from posting. Uh, Duke...DITTO! I haven't heard any logic coming from you other than your idiotic arguments. quote:Good grief Seneca, would you quit embarrassing yourself? I think you embarrassed yourself enough for one thread, don't you, Duke? We believe what we believe. We don't care what you say, Fishy man, we are happy and content without a weapon in our home. Can you change our minds? Hell no! Are we against violence? Yes. Are we against defending ourselves? No. We have a right to choose how we defend ourselves. End of discussion for us. Keep our dadgum quotes out of it; we want no part of this ridiculous, off the subject thread! It's getting to the point where pete met repeat! Candie from Upinyachit Our feet go where the caches are!

  12. This is a geocaching website! To some people it's a joke, and they just like pushing peoples buttons. I told myself that I wouldn't post again to this topic, but I couldn't help it. Why don't the people that like guns go caching with them? And for the people that don't like guns while caching, don't bring them. It seems to me people like causing a big fuss and probably have never even found a cache. Creating a new member name to post is immature and pathetic. One obviously has the wrong idea about what this site is for! They must have nothing better to do! Find a chat room for pete sake! THE POINT IS GO CACHING; WITH OR WITHOUT A GUN!!! Not ever replying again to this topic!!!! LOL Duane from Upinyachit! P.S. Ever own a dictionary, Booblog?? Ooops! LOLOL Our feet go where the caches are!

  14. About 5 months ago, my wife found a wheres george bill. She logged the serial number in on www.wheresgeorge.com. From there, Candie found a link, and stumbled across Navi/ cache.com. Thats when we first started caching. Our family found a few caches without a GPS until we met Quinn. He hooked us up with a gps and helped us learn how to use it. We ended up finding about 35 to 40 caches not even knowing this site existed. When we found out about this site, we thought how cool!!!!!!!!! TWO GEOCACHING WEB SITES! The more the merrier! We found absolutely no conflict of interest enjoying both sites. Granted, geocache has many more caches, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with "the other site"! Besides, wouldn't it be a lot better if one didn't talk $#!@ about something that one doesn't have any clue about? Wouldn't it benefit all of us if we stuck a fork in the fuddy duddy's that have nothing better to do than argue on which site is better? Get along, will ya? There is room for two! Syd, no one said you had to like the other site, but geez, don't mislead others into thinking that there is only one site out there! Duane from Upinyachit Our feet go where the caches are!

  16. When upinyachit decides to go on a cache, we never never assume that the cache is loaded with goodies, because if it's not, that only leads to shattered dreams! LOLOL Don't get me wrong, we have traded some very nice items from caches, but we usually put the items right back into the next cache we find or hide. If we did ever come across a cache with just dog food and a pen, we would appreciate the find and assume the owner is too busy or too far away to maintain the cache. We all know that there is at least one bad apple in the bunch that won't trade fair. We believe that if a cache hasn't been found in a reasonable amount of time, or your log reports indicate a lot of visits then it's up to the cache owner to beef it up. 22. What Is Your Favorite NFL Team ??????? I am thinking of doing a NFL football cache. All items in the cache will have something to do with the NFL. We would like your opinions and your favorite NFL football team. With training camp starting tomorrow, Candie and I just came up with the idea...What do you geocachers think?
