  1. Thanks Edgemaster, Ive added the code to my Index page, can you check to see if it does as you stated? Thanks
  2. Thanks you two. Its a bit clunky but the first attempt is posted! Aquaventure Scuba Club
  3. Is there a geocacher out there who works web sites who can assist with how to publish an RSS feed on a web site (in simple language). If so please PM me. regards
  4. I agree, but each time I visit one of the coastal iconic sites I seem to have fog, wind rain or indeed all 3 together! A round the coast series would be interesting, like the motorway mayhem series but circumnavigating great coastal sites rather than motorway junctions (which strangely I enjoy as well)
  5. Well done team, Ive enjoyed every one of them that I have done but especially that walk back up that bl**dy steep endless hill at Cold Ashton! Really good sites and well maintained.
  6. No, obviously much better to publish in the wild hope that 'the owner' wouldn't read the thread of a local cacher!! Seriously individual feedback isn't criticism, we are all learning, I will reclassify it accordingly. oh and if it is a really challenging cache you wish for I will try to oblige shortly, I will make sure you get notified so you can have a go. Race the clock was good for me.
  7. Some fantastic pictures, these following aren't good but the tears were running down my face when I was taking them as the log content was forming in my mind click HERE
  8. Absolutely dreadfull news, a really poor result............. At least for the sad individual with more greed than common decency and a sensible approach to life. oops could be sued myself now for another jumped up allegation!! Seriously though it must be a considerable personal relief for which we are all truly gratefull. Back to caching we hope?
  9. That is excellent news. Still waiting for a first to find on my waypoint earthcache, despite it being visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year! I give it less than one day after it transfers over to GC. Hopefully this will open up loads of really interesting areas in the UK.
  10. Yep, we are in, one flimsy lightweight tent close to the radiator please
  11. My two penny worth... Keep in in perspective. We all run the risk of litigation every time we jump in a car and drive down a road with other road users and pedestrians. If we mess up we pay for it, either through insurance if it is an accident or through the criminal courts if it is negligent or (in a few cases) intentional. It is just the same in loads of other leisure activities, golf, scuba diving, rock climbing etc etc. If someone wants to sue over putting a plastic box in a tree, under a rock, in a cave or anywhere else for that matter, good luck to them, can't envisage too many judges taking it too seriously. Where is the intention to harm or negligence, particularly where others have found and logged a find without issue? Its a bit like saying that coastal footpath is too close to the coast so there is a risk of falling off. There are a few caches in the SW that are in caves you wouldnt catch me in for all the moun10bike coins in the world so guess what, I don't go in them. If some people find it difficult to make this type of choice I don't envisage them making compelling witnesses for the crown. Whatever next, suing Garmin for common repetitive strain injury due to the saturation (I wish) of caches in Bristol?
  12. I agree with Birders, having missed the last thread related to this I am mystified as to what is happening. If someone knows but feels unable to post in public any chance of a PM?
  13. Get the sock off your head and place it carefully in your mouth. Having said that reverse the last instruction and thanks for the tip, off for 26 lovely caches, cheers Sweep.
  14. Thank you PDOP, this software is exactly what I wanted. Stand by for a new cache puzzle!
  15. Just tried and you can't. I tried to cut and paste a track to a different map area and it just reappears where it was created. I want to create a track of a planned route round some paths ending in a cache, offer it for download in a form that creates it elsewhere on a map. The challenge is to match the track shape and dimension with the footpath patterns. It doesnt look possible by way of manipulation but can anyone think of another way of executing the requirements?
  16. Having difficulty submitting the form as I get the following error message: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14' [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 's'. /earthcache/geocaching2.asp, line 131 Any ideas anyone?
  17. Much to my personal disappointment my 9 year old logs himself. He rarely tells the truth and I think his logs are a poor reflection on the time and effort I put in to taking him into the great outdoors.
  18. Fantastic coin, can I still get one for this cache, pretty please?
  19. This may sound a little strange but there is a method behind the madness. I want to change a downloaded tracks file so that its start point is different thereby if someone else downloads the file into memory map or mapsource it will apear in a different place on the map. This is going to part of a challenge. Has anyone got any idea as to how or if this can be done?
  20. Call that a drugs haul! Check the stash found by a cacher in Bristol HERE
  21. How can you 'discover'something without seeing it, or more appropriately having it in your possession. Otherwise its a bit like saying the Moon was discovered by the first being who saw it.
  22. I agree, same cache different co-ords and difficulty level rises.
  23. Interesting thread. You will probably be able to tell that this is the first time I have visited the Waymark discussions, and only to look up the methods that Earthcaches will be migrated back to GC.com! I agree with a couple of earlier posts: firstly that something seems to be missing from Waymarking. I don't know what it is as when you look at caching finding a plastic box, usually (but not always) full of unwanted kids toys there is probably something missing there as well. But at the end of the day I do enjoy it but can't find the same enthusiasm for Waymarking. secondly to put a Waymarking tab on the GC profiles may provide some incentive. Sorry but as a discussion outsider I can't wait for Earthcaches to return, but good luck to you waymarkers.
  24. Looks good, but can it have a feature to prevent the missus seeing how many days Ive been out caching, or at least some form of comparitor for days spent out shopping to try to maintain a sence of perspective? Roll on the beta release.
  25. This is excellent news. I have wanted to post an Eartcache for a really important site near me for ages. Having gone onto GC.com I found no option to post an Earthcache so went onto Waymarking.com and generated one simply enough and am awaiting approval. Am I right in thinking it will migrate over to GC.com by some mystical power wielded by the UK reviewers or will further work need to be done by yours truly?
