  1. Sorry but the last post is nonsence. If the police have to waste any time on a false security alert due to geocaching then we, as a collective responsible team, have lost the plot. Clearly from the events in Birmingham over the last couple of days they have far more important things to do than worry about suspicious behaviour, particularly in London, due to some hidden plastic containers. The reviewers are right, no argument, lets move on.
  2. just started to collect trigs in addition to the caches and have found them to be really enjoyable, even got a FTF trig that had never been found (outside of OS staff) the other week. I really recommend triggin' as a bolt on to caching, shame we cant add them to GC finds same as the yanks do with benchmarks, seem like the same idea.
  3. What time start? Up with you during the day and happy not to rush back on the 125 if not too late
  4. Simple, no sign the log (if available, dry, not full etc) no log the cache. I am up there tomorrow, PM some of the details and I will have a peek at some, if I can find them, I have a knack of not finding the darn things up there at times (don't I currykev?)
  5. Despite it looking like a likely spoof (new member, no finds, cache in a crime ridden area etc etc) a FTF attempt proved the co-ords to be well out and nothing like it should be. Just rechecking now and there is no sign of the cache at all on GC.com, not archived but gone without a trace, living up to its name of spooky. Any chance of the mods explaining what has happened?
  6. Any of you guys know where he is? I've tried to mail him to see if he wants Hyde Park #10 adopted (a really excellent cache that shouldn't die, in my opinion) but have had no joy raising him and he doesn't appear to have been caching for some months now.
  7. Not only did it arrive but I have also put it out in a great new caving cache in Somerset HERE How long will it take these to appear on Ebay? My bet is a week.
  8. Starting Bristol and then to USA, going out tomorrow.
  9. Thanks windsockers, can you post some manufacturer details so I can find their WWW
  10. Yes I have managed to create a bookmark but cant find out how to add the caches. Going to a PQ doesn't add in the specific caches I want to choose in my top ten list, how do you add the caches please?
  11. Must be being incredibly retarded here. I have done enough caches now to have some favourites to acknowledge and share with others so created a bookmark but have not found any way of adding the cache entries. Can someone give me a clue please? Thanks.
  12. All I did was put a magnet in the bottom with some bluetac to hold it in place then used a scalpel to cut the lid down off another film container and pushed it down over: all sealed in with no chance of it falling out and the inside of the cache is really neat. I've just retried the breath strip containers but using some sandpaper to roughen the surface, will let you know how it goes.
  13. I seem to have one of those characters where DNFs really grate on me. I do log them but hate them and often have to return (sometimes more than once) to get them. So in answer to your question 0% is acceptable, but never achievable. Logging them is vital to help those who follow in addition to the owner.
  14. Your physical by the Houses of Parliament was bloody hard but was an excellent use of the nano. They have their place and can be great fun.
  15. I've been trying to attach some magnets to some plastic containers and failing. Once the glue dries the magnet comes off due to the flexing of the containers (breath strips and film canisters). I've been trying araldite. Can anyone suggest the correct glue to use please?
  16. I hated them when I started but now have grown to like them, especially some of the ones in London which take you to some great places. As a result my personal geocoin I just had made has been minted small enough to fit in them, just to make it a little more interesting.
  17. I've had similar connection problems with the Training Centre software. First off it was a problem with Activesync preventing a connection, then it was a faulty cradle which Garmin replaced very quickly, no questions asked.
  18. Got mine in the post today, excellent coins, one of the best to crop up for ages and great fast service, thanks.
  19. A number of local cachers have had the chance to grab these, the remainder are now available check them out HERE
  20. As a matter of fact there is, just arrived. Have a look HERE
  21. Just a quick note to see if it is in order to advertise a new coin for sale in this particular thread, is it within the protocols or not? Thanks
