Bridges yes. Highway bridges, no. They are generally a bad place to place a cache for lack of being interesting and lack of locations to hide a container. Plus safety is an issue.

Many micros deter me. Also, I am not too eager to look for ones hidden on the sides of busy highways and in the medians of Interstates.
Snakes, bugs, skunks, and poison oak/ivy do not deter me at all. I like those kind of caches. Throw some hunters in the mix too.

Closest not found is 3.5 miles and it's a regular cache. There are just three out of the 20 that are regular caches and we just have not gotten around to them. The one closest looks pretty cool.
Two virtuals. One costs money--though I still want to it because it's a good museum. The other requires pictures from at least for different places. A multi-virt.
One multi that is a very long walk. Actually it is a virt as well. We'll do it once the weather is cooler.
The rest are micros in parking lots and similar venues. I doubt we'll make special trips for these.
11.5 miles is the one with the greatest distance from us.

Thanks for the link. I have heard about Organ Pipe's problems and some of the others inundated with aliens. A few were surprises though.

My sister-in-law and my dad go sometimes. I think maybe one of my cousins has gone caching a few times.

I don't really respect non hiders much. my personal opinion.
I guess I feel a bit the same.

I think this is fine. I prefer to have my caches approved by erik and honeychile because they have always been really friendly and speedy. RK's reason number six seems like reason enough to me.
-
RK!
ju66l3r would be great too.
-
Erik for my Alabama caches and Honeychile for the Virginia ones have consistently been outstanding.

The two on Ascension Island in the Atlantic are remote and will be challenging to visit. Seems like there used to be one on Saint Helena too.

I thought when you placed a cache you clicked a button that says you can maintain this cache. If the button is clicked then where is the problem? If the owner has had no maintenance problems in the past there is no reason to doubt his ability to do so now.
I think you are right. I support Team 360 on this one.

I love my iFinder Pro Plus.

That cattail one is neat!

When my father started school (circa 1918) being left-handed, as he was, put him in a category of witches and such. So his teacher tied his left hand behind his back for the rest of the school day every day. He ended up mixed up -- some things he did righty, some lefty, some ambedextrous.
That happened to me in the 1970s. I actually had a teacher that forced me to bat right-handed becuase it was too difficult to pitch to me. That did not help my batting average at all.

I think this topic is horrible. You people need to become a little more educated about snakes and how to avoid bites then be fearfull of them. In my 35+ years I have tramped through the woods and around lakes/swamps/ponds I have encounted dozens of poisonous snakes. Never once have I ever "had" to kill one and I have had lots of close encounters and stikes my way. There are ways to avoid getting bit even if you are standing over the top of one, you just have to stay calm and use your head.
I completely agree.

We had a maggot problem in central Iowa but have had none in the crime cesspool that is SE Virginia.

I would be delighted to place or find FSP porcupine TBs! I met the FSP founder while he was in VA this year.
-
I like urban micros and ones in small parks. I cannot say the same for micros hidden deep in the woods.
-
Where traditionals are not allowed the normal anti virtual rules should be flat out waived.
Agree with you, RK.

Captain,
this Kidd thinks that Ben's DEET is unbeatable.

I do log my DNFs. Informing the cache owner and the rest of the community is important enough in itself, but my biggest reason to log them is documenting my own private geocaching history. It's nice to read years later (and even before!) my old logs and remember certain trips I made here and there.
Great point. I agree with that completely.
-
We got a purple face on a one star yesterday. The cache owner said it was still there too. No fear of the DNF. I think they are quite helpful to owners and other cachers.

Glad to hear about this!

The Eneman is cool! I saw one of the Fleet beanies before somewhere. Glad to see it is a TB and I'd love to find him.
Also, I support Mr. Chit in full.
