  1. No, I think the money thing is cool, I think handmade things are cool. I trade for those sometimes. I just dont like the business cards with peoples names on them. I mean thats what the log is for. Thats all I mean.
  2. I wouldnt recomend making one out of PVC if you use the screw on fitting, the type used in plumbing. The screw on pvc can be very difficult to remove. Leave that kind of thing for potato guns haha.
  3. I dont want to upset anyone here, but I think leaving a business card or a signature item (unless its cool) is a cop out to leaving something tradeable. Keychains that are "YOU" or an item some one might actually enjoy are cool, but I usually just sign the log anyways. Who wants to trade a fake business card? I mean if I found a cache that listed all this fun, cool, neat things in it for trading, and all I found were peoples GC "business cards" I would feel ripped off in a way cause I would bring something of equal fun, cool or neatness. Thats why I just sign the log. I enjoy the hunt more than the treasure anyways. But thats MHO!!
  4. So what kind of file size, on average, per cache are you looking at with this method? I'd imagine it's quite a bit larger the text PDB file for cachemate. Just curious. That is very similar to what I do with my Palm TX, and Garmin E-Trex combo. I like EasyGPS better than GSAK though just because its easier, but GSAK will auto-rename the caches going to the gps, instead of the GC.com waypoint names it changes it to what it thinks would be easier for you to find. pretty handy, but somethimes ya go HUH?!! haha As far as the average file size, it all depends on how many quaries you have, I dont even use my SD card for caches, they are small enough to go in the main memory. between cachemate and the plucker combo thing, I prefer cachemate over all. I heard it best described as coke to pepsi, it personal preferance. try them both. What I like best about cachemate is being able to sort all my caches by found, not found, and user created ones, and then file it as found when I find it. The only thing missing are the pictures if any from the original website (if I remember, you can do that with the plucker combo) cachemate is just one less step and no pics. hope all that rambling helps!

    4x4

Here in Nevada there are quite a few caches (many of my favorites) that require a high clearance vehilce or 4 wheel drive to get to. Some people wont or can't get to these caches, while others including myself prefer these types. Although most, if not all people will say if you need a certain type of vehilce, I would like to see a sortable way to view the ones that require 4x4 or high clearance. Thanks!
