  1. My favorite Flagstaff are caches are not ones i'd tackle in the winter with a rental car. Here's one I placed recently that shouldn't be a problem even if we have snow on the ground when you're here, yet still gives you a nice hike in the woods. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=50649 P.S. Pray for snow for us... lots of it. or we'll be having another cachless summer in central/Northern AZ with closed forests.
  2. I love the new features. This will be great on the next road trip. You Da Man!
  3. Wreckage found, no survivors. news article
  4. Hi, I'm in the Flagstaff area. We did't find out about geocaching until last spring. WE got bit by the bug bad and then they closed the forest up here on us. Looks like we have a couple finds in common. and a couple of your virtuals are on our to-do list on a back packing trip in the Inner Basin next summer with two of my grown step-sons. Our first hide is up in Locket Meadow if you ever make it back up this way.

  6. I've never used this, but it might work until those cameras come out.GPS Photo
  7. This outfit will do it for you if you have the bucks. Private Moon Mission "The company is offering available space aboard the craft to any one who wants to send mementos directly to outer space. For $2,500 per gram in shipping charges, the company says it will take business cards, locks of hair, and even cremated human remains to the moon."
  8. Thanks for the advice, I went ahead and moved the bug to the correct cache myself.
  9. I was checking up on my bug today, and saw that someone picked him up and moved him to a new cache yesterday. They mentioned the bug in their logs on both caches, but didn't grab him and place him in the new chache. So he still shows up in the old cache. I emailed the person that moved it this morning with instructions, but as of now havent heard back from them. This person is a newbie with only 5 finds, i'm sure they just didn't understand how to move the bug. Is it acceptable for me to move him to the right cache myself with and explanation of what happened in the log?
  10. I'll try to get the monkey back on his way ASAP.
  11. Maybe we should send them to a home for orphaned monkeys I'm going to hang on to mine awhile and see if the site comes back. If I find out the site is gone for good, maybe I'll hook him to a travelbug and send him back on his way.

  13. I grew up in Moab and hiked Mount Peale way back when I was a boy scout. I've been itching to get back there and do some caching since i discovered geocaching, but I don't think I'll make it back before the snow flys.
  14. In a very remote northern AZ cache MIngus View But when I got home to log it, the site was gone. I did find the cached page on google and it was there as recently as 9/15/02. Where did monkeycache.com go? [This message was edited by Team Lightfoot on September 21, 2002 at 07:03 PM.]
