  1. Where can I find very small zip lock bags that can fit inside a cache around the size of a magnetic key holder?
  2. Geocaches are required to be .1 miles apart so I was wondering if there is anyway to make sure you are .1 miles away from another cache. I have a spot for a cache that I want to hide but I just realized that it may be too close to a previously listed cache.
  3. I got a magellen explorist GC for Christmas and today was my first time caching with it. It seemed to be pretty bouncy (e.g. I was standing in one spot and it said to go 19 feet sw, I walk about 5 feet sw and then it says it's 16 feet back towards where I originally was.) There is a decently heavy cloud cover and I was in the woods today caching so I'm hoping it was just bouncy because of that but does anyone know if this is a common problem with this device or is it just a bad day? also one more thing. The old GPS I used was a car GPS but there was a screen you could go to that showed your current coordinates and as you walked they would constantly update. Is there anywhere you can do that on this device or can you only search with the screen that tells you the distance and heading?
  4. Wow that makes a lot more sense I didn't know about that lol thanks so much!
  5. Thank you bear and ragged I had clicked both the boxes "that i havn't found" and "that I have found" I unchecked them and now I am being shown 6 new geocaches in my area. and I want to get it everyday because I want to be immiedatly alerted of a new cache.
  6. I got an ipad for christmas and I went to search for geocaches online with it. I went to the "Search with google maps" link and arrived on the usual google maps page BUT it was just a map. No geocaches appeared anywhere. Does this map not work with the ipad?
  7. I just got a new gps for Christmas and it came with a free premium membership trial. So I've been trying to find out what exactly pocket queries do and how to use them but nothing I read really explains it to me. So i set up a query buT I want to make sure I used it properly for what I want done. I wanted to set up a query that would email me with new geocaches in a 10 mile radius of my home everyday. (by the way my first question: is this something the pocket query is ment for) so I selected every day and put in the type and from my home in a ten mile radius and everything and submitted it. It says there are no geocaches found. so I just want to make sure that I did everything correctly and that this will be functioning for what I intended it. thanks
  8. What does it mean when somebody says "the Co-ordinates are soft"?
