  1. Thanks for the help - I now understand - Geocache points in the Garmin 76CS ARE Waypoints, however they have a specific symbol that differentiates them from other waypoints and allows for easier marking of found items. It looks like I should edit the downloaded waypoints within EasyGPS before I d/l them tot he GPSr. Thanks for all the help!!! Capt. Seaweed
  2. I successfully downloaded some geocache locations to my PC and then into the 76CS. The 76CS has the ability to store geocache locations separately from waypoints. However, the locations that I transferred to the unit ended up in the waypoint section. I could use some help understanding how to save the waypoints into the geocache section. If it helps, I used EasyGPS to transfer the waypoints to the unit. TIA, Capt Seaweed
  3. Geocaching newbie here - I've got some experience using a Raymarine GPS/Chartplotter on my boat, but now I'd like to get a new handheld unit. the new unit will be used as backup when boating, geocaching - cause it souds like a lot of fun and some car routing as required. I've been looking at the Lowrance ifinder H2Ocplus and the Garmin 60cs. big difference in price - however I'm more interested in getting the better of the 2 units - cost is not the big issue here. It seems to me that the Lowrance effectively comes with a CD to download maps while the additional maps must be purchased with the Garmin unit. also, Garmin seems to be more popular than Lowrance - however that could be due to marketing. Any comments that would help me make an infomred decision as to which one to purchase? TIA, CaptSeaweed
