  1. how about mel gibson in his braveheart get up? nice legs under that kilt...

Hey! That's my choice! And I'm not willing to share. :(

Or I wouldn't mind Kevin Costner as in "Robin Hood."

And to show my age, I also wouldn't mind Yul Brynner as in "The King and I."

yul brynner was a very sexy man..ah come on i would send mel over to cache with you sometimes...though after watching him in the lethal weapons i don't think he should drive.

i think robin williams would be fun to cache with though i would have to stop and get my breathe from laughing.

I agree, but I'm not too sure about Robin in a kilt.

  2. We use a gecko 301 and really like it. We haven't noticed any reception problem under the trees but then again we aren't doing much bushwacking right now due to poison ivy, ticks, and a broken ankle. <_<

If I had to name one thing I don't like is that the screen is small for my old eyes. :D However, we like the size of the GPSr itself because it fits easily in a pocket or a cell phone holder.

  3. Being a newbie, I kinda like those maps! :) We have enough trouble trying to find some caches! Does that mean we have to go back to the 5 gallon bucket caches instead of the cleverly disguised fake logs and rocks? Or no micros? Wait a minute, maybe it isn't such a bad idea after all! :)

I guess you want use old GPSrs with only about 3 satellites, too.

  4. It could even be a fake or hollow rock. They can be incredibly hard to spot if they have a good camo job.

Start with larger caches... ones that specifically say they are large or an ammo can. Best of all, go with an experienced cacher for the first couple. We literally stood on the rock and sticks hiding the ammo can of the first cache we looked for. We were lucky an experienced cacher just happened to come along and helped show us what to look for.

  5. When hubby and I made a night run to try for a FTF, we spotted a light coming towards us. We at first thought it was another cacher but it turned out to be park police. We explained what we were doing which was OK with him. It just happened the cache was placed near where there had been suicide attempts so he was making sure we weren't jumpers.
