  1. Seems like if you give any thought at all about your trade item, it should be a good one. I have caught myself looking at the cache pages that contain my finds and see that more often than not, my/our trade items seem to go rather quickly. The kids love the Mctoys, but I seldom take anything, unless it really grabs my interest. I refrain from placing fast food toys, because if I do take a specific item, a Mctoy is not trading up IMHO. You can find inexpensive items everywhere. A Mctoy is a freebie that accompanies a kid's meal. I have to agree that a Mctoy isn't a trade item that contains alot of thought, but again, kids love 'em. I do catch myself occasionally taking a dirty, broken or otherwise free toy and placing something of higher value. Then I bring them home and they make good missles for the kids to put holes in the walls. For each his own, I guess. Darnit! I still haven't conveyed my opinion in full. Good thread, though Green acres is the place to be.....
  2. Hmm... I'm still trying to figure out what relation this has, but my wife came back from the hair salon with some term conditioner. Maybe it was perm. Term, perm, what's the difference? Green acres is the place to be.....
  3. Thanks, big J! I missed the part about numbers of 25 or less being automatically permitted. I was looking for a production run of lets say, 150. I'll send those cats an email shortly.... Guess I should've skimmed when I was scanning . Green acres is the place to be.....
  4. What, if any are the restrictions of using the GC.com logo on your own signature items? I've seen it used several times on other cacher's items, just wondering about legalities and all that good stuff. Green acres is the place to be.....
  5. Pretty good, UMC. I'm up to 60 now, as Granny Grump and I will try for roughly six more in the area tomorrow. Thanks for the inquiry (sp?) Green acres is the place to be.....
  6. Someone post something on my "Happy" thread. Thanks.....Really, I'm tired of the BS! Have fun. Green acres is the place to be.....

I would like to find something like that, for sure. Most times I don't take an item unless I really take a liking to it. Your biner/flashlight (especially signatured) would be my pick. I'm running out of Dale Earnhardt cards, but I did find a kewl deal on Harry Potter key chains and stuff, so I will be placing them with my mining stickers instead of DE cards. 8. ...to see the typical forums again. Those beater threads I did NOT want to touch. Now, as I click on the "General" topic, I find that it is ALMOST like it was to begin with. Whew!! Come on! Let's go caching! I have to watch the race first, though. All day cache Sunday!!! Green acres is the place to be.....
  9. Here's our "at work" cache crew. Notice the guy on the right. He has the cache in his hand. Green acres is the place to be.....
  10. Really weird episode that has happened here. I kinda relate it to deja-vu (or however you spell it), but.... I was leaving a local department store the other day (after spending $150 or so), and was attempting to play one of those "grab" machines and win my little girl a toy. BTW, 50 cents for one try? We all know the toys are strategically placed anyway, probably not worth any more than a Kennedy Half and you have to be SUPER lucky to bag one on the first try anyway. Upon placing my first Massachusetts (that's right, it was in fact Mass.), the coin jammed inside the machine. I quickly pressed the release button again and again, but sadly lost one quarter. Feeling one step up, I tried the *other* slot with yet another quarter (Indiana). You all know the outcome of this try. Upon examining the entry/exit slot of the machine, I noticed there were roughly 10-12 quarters jammed in the return area of each slot. I tried recklessly to retrieve my quarters for a matter of minutes when an employee approached me as if I was breaking into the machine. "It's out of order!" She snapped. "Why isn't there a sign on it saying so?," I replied. "I don't know." Obviously, she didn't care, anyway. Aside of the rude and disrespectful manner of the employee, I continued to "fetch" MY two quarters. Promptly, the manager came and assured me that regardless of my innocent plea for fifty cents, the local authorities will soon be present. Just at that time, PRESTO! I finally broke the flapper and quarters went flying everywhere!! I quickly snagged up not twelve, but twenty three quarters and handed them to the manager. With both hands full of quarters, I picked MY two out of his hands and stated my intentions were getting my god**& fifty cents back and that's all! Also mentioned there should've been an out- of- order sign to prevent this type of situation in the first place. I also hinted around that they were the culprits implying that when the store closed, those employees involved hovered around the machine and secretly snagged all the *stuck* quarters and set it up for the next day. Cheerfully, I then proceeded to the car with my daughter and went to Wal-Mart and bought her a nice toy. Relevant or not, THAT was MY playground. Seems that paying customers should have a right or two concerning the matter at hand. Green acres is the place to be.....
  11. Funny, but I just realized that when we find a cache, I/we may take something, obviously, but the items we leave have never been from another cache. Hmm... Other logs on cache pages, even some mentioned in the forums state that they placed an item from one cache into another. I guess for each his/her own, but our "gang" collects items from caches, and have never placed an item from one cache to the other. What do you do? Green acres is the place to be.....

Yeah, but what if you've already got one??? She's kinda like a pesky leaf-won't leave me alone! *Oooh! 13. Knowing nothing about a digital at all, I got my tax refund last year and purchased a Fujifilm finepix 3800, 3.2mp. I'm tickled pink, as it has alot of features, including the video feed, which is real handy for taping the kids. It is fairly lightweight and quite small, but I think it takes pretty good pics.
  14. O.K. Guys... I just had to do ONE more! Mom will kill me!
  15. What if you don't wanna quit? Do they just "run you off"?
  16. Having a bunch of trouble here. First, I was trying to get a pic of my dog for the caching dog thread, but got a goat instead. I kinda liked it, so decided to put him on as my signature. But man, the pic is WAY TOO BIG!!!! How do I make it smaller so it will be slightly easier on the eyes here on the forums??? You all are welcome to play around with it, but that was not my intention, REALLY>
  17. HEY YOU!!! Why is this link below a link and not a pic??>??>?????<?><>?>?>

  21. Definately not finding the cache is really a scare. All the others play a role, too. As long as you go by the guidelines, trespassing isn't an option. DON'T TRESPASS! How can you hurt the environment if you pay attention what you are doing and NO BUSHWHACKING! Cops? NAH! Getting hurt or a rash? Accidents do happen, and I get ate up with poision ivy every time I use the weedeater. Don't let those problems run you off.

The ghostly image is smoke probably from a ciggy that the shutterbug was smoking and the writing is graffiti on the rock.
  23. One more and I quit....You guys can come up with some real doozies!!! This pic is of my buddy on a caching spree this summer. He will flip when he sees what can you do to his pic. All comments are welcome, too. Thanks for the fun guys!! http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/48511_4700.gif
  24. The Game, one of my top five movies, which had Michael Douglas in a real fix. He was a sort of travel bug. Poor fella. Someone please tell me name of the movie that starred Robert DeNiro and some other cat..... They robbed the French foreign ministry building, and stole a very pricey artifact of some sort.... What was that thing called??? They used gps units at one point in the movie, which was interesting. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/48511_4700.gif
