  1. I'm in the process of downloading FindAControl (which seems to be taking FOREVER!).

What other benchmark tools are people using on Android devices? I know Mike was working on an app, last year. If it is in the PlayStore, what is the name?

  2. I also just noticed a white squirrel sitting on top of the brown stuff on those pages.

    The hamsters have been "replaced"???????????

I never scroll down that far, and would have never noticed, if it hadn't been for this thread. TFTP

Cosmetic change for change's sake. Oh, well, I guess someone got paid good money to come up with this new colour scheme/design.

It really should be a hamster... and it should be clickable!!

If it was clickable where ahould it take you to? I think it also would be fine with Signal the Frog.

  3. Hi all, I found my first cache on tuesday evening and i am totally hooked, i will be doing this for a very long time! (15 in 3 days now) I get around quite a lot in the south east area of the UK, and would like to become a volunteer cache approver. I have seen the map of the world, showing the volunteers, and i would be able to fill in a chunk of the uk which is uncovered. I have read the section on volunteers on geocaching website, which explains a bit, but not how to apply, apart from you can be nominated by forum members. Is there a link somewhere to start the process off please?

    TIA

This is a great question. Also Please ignore the people that say you automatically get denied by asking. Congrats on your first Geocache and welcome to the Sport!!! Groundspeak will contact you if they believe that you are an active and good geocacher in the community. Use a link below for more info.

  4. I was wondering since more and more people are using smartphones for geocaching (myself included), why there is not an APP for logging trackables? I found one at a cache last night that was not listed as being in that cache and had a heck of a time getting it logged from my phone as I could not get on the computer without disturbing the family at 0100.

We have apps for Wherigo's, decoding, placing caches, finding caches, etc. It seems to me the only thing missing at this point is something to make logging trackable items easier.

I agree with you. Groundspeak's Dev's Should work on this.
