  1. I have and like my 210, but I have not compared it to the Legend C. I like the flash memory feature that I can edit, copy, and paste files from my computer just like a hard drive. I guess it depends on what features you want/need.
  2. No, in the woods or near hills, tall buildings, ect, expect 20-50 feet. The highend units can do no better. If it were more accurate then the game would be just to easy!
  3. One Devil to another...try USA Photomaps...much better resolution(2 meter) http://www.jdmcox.com/ Thanks so much for this lead, Now I can't see any reason to pay for Trails.com. I love GE for lots of things besides geo-caching, but it really helps to find areas to go to. I like going out to the country to find caches and GE can help me find a place to go.
  4. I would like to hide a cache under a highway bridge, but I see that the guidelines seem to exclude bridges as a possible terrorist target. This is a spot that would be reached by a secondary road from underneath. Actually, this is probably not a good spot as seekers might try to access it from the highway (not a good place to stop). I won't use this location anyway, but my question is more about what consitutes a terrorist target? I have found several that were located under small bridges and it makes sense to me that there was nothing wrong with those sites.
  5. I simply use packing tape to cover my exporist screen. I trim it with a xacto knife. It does not solve the glare problem. I'd buy something if it did cut down on glare significantly.
  6. I see, so creating a new query can get faster results. I did not see your post before I replied. Thanks for the info.
  7. I tried starting over with a new query name and that one worked. I'm puzzled by why the other did not work.

    Mounting

My explorist neatly fits into my instrument panel, wedges in with a piece of velcro tape on the top of the GPS and a piece on the upper part of the dash hood. Blocks the temp gauge a little, but I also have a warning light, and I can see it if I move my head a little. Very easy to take it in and out, but sometimes the steering wheel gets in the way. I have upgraded to a 210 now. I was going to post a picture, but I guess it has to be somewhere on the internet?
  9. Ok, I'm getting better at this, I have run at least ten queries successfully, but this morning I can't get it to run. I get results, I can preview and see that the query works, but it shows last generated "1/14/2006 3:11:13 AM". Right now it is 6:30 AM (CTS) on Sunday. One question: What does it mean when the "last generated" is displayed in bold type? Yesterday's query is in bold, but the one I'm trying to run is not bold. I have selected "Uncheck the day of the week after the query runs" and I have tried it with both Sat and Sunday checked, and with only Sunday checked. Most of the time I get results in less then 10 minutes, but this one has been waiting for about an hour.
  10. OK, it showed up, thanks for the help!
  11. It now shows that it has run, but so far I have not gotten the email. I'll keep waiting.
  12. No, I thought that if you pick run once and delete that you did not need to pick a day. I'll try it again with Sat.
  13. I ran a pocket query last week on my finds and that worked, I got the email with the results in minutes. Today I have submitted a query for sites not found centered around one area, limited to 20 sites. I can see the results, it works, but I am not getting any email with the results. I have tried about three times and it has been hours. My query is still listed and shows that it has never run. I chose "run once then delete" and output to "this accounts email address" How long should I expect to wait?
