  1. I prefer the name JoLuc to SockPup. It's more original and less distracting.
  2. I'm up for the "slash and burn" method. Every once in a while archive and then replace. That means the spot can be visited and revisited by all cachers over time. I don't hold much sway with age.
  3. Go get the Dakota 20 from handtec. £140 all in. That will have all you will need. Mapping is a must, and can be free.
  4. I can't remember coming across any home-made nano containers. I've seen many hidden within something larger though. For example vials within snail shells that are magnetic. But most, apart from the usual ones found on the net, are not waterproof. That shopuld be a priority to avoid lots of maintenance.
  5. I carry spare socks in mine. Very useful against miserable dobbers.
  6. Since you kindly asked? I'd have checked the caches inventory before I disappointed myself.
  7. Posting a wordless find is like going out for lunch & leaving no tip. People will think less of you. Yes!! Exactly!!! But quite often that lunch didn't deserve a tip. Those lacklustre hides I just add TFTC. and that's all they get or deserve.
  8. It's the perfect place to post this info. I paid more here in the UK. (much more)
  9. That'll teach me not to look closely enough. Thanks Simply Paul.
  10. Not that it matters to me as I'm just a "supposed" smelly foot appendage. But what has happened to #30 in the TOTP of UK cachers? Maybe it's occupied by my dear friend Lord Charles?
  11. It really does sound like a great trip. Forget those Rusky caches though. More pain than it's worth. I've weighed up the situation from my own perspective. I'd love to join the fun but my booze bill in Norway would triple the costs of the whole trip. On the plus side you'll be able to spend plenty of time ogling those Arctic blonde foxes. Enjoy!
  12. 1. Don't blame the tool. 2. You'll be happy with your upgrade once you've got your error sorted. 3. Why does your husband/BF look so peed off in your avatar? 4. Or is that his usual face? 5. Happy caching! 6. :)
  13. It's all to do with the new Doctor.(who?) Happy New Year one and all. A puppet isn't just for Christmas so I believe.
  14. Congrats to winning The Ashes (for a short time) I cannot help in your quest but I would 100% recommend Llangollen for the canal caching and the beauty of it for any other cachers. But as I am a supposed puppet account my views amount to F.A. (so it seems)
  15. Any post Xmas bargains???? I would like to upgrade my geocaching divining rod. Or are you all miserly thanks to the Tories.
  16. Yes, a lot of good info in there, but there's also wayyyy too much advertising for Garmin's geocaching site. Given the person behind the Wiki, I am not surprised, but still... I'm no drag queen and as such don't make excuses for all and sundry. Happy ?? today folks.
  17. I would just leave. No fuss and no shabang. I would just go quietly. Very.
  18. "UK Record holder for most in 24 hours by public transport (79 caches in 12 hours)." That must have been some time ago TT. A fellow cacher who I know well has the following statistic. "Best Day - 104 caches in one day on 07/Jan/2012" Trains and buses only I can assure you.
  19. Or just use the card that was recommended. Beats the try one, then another etc that you recommend susan.
  20. One is a band of dimwits that don't deserve their place in society!
  21. At the check out using the Garmin UK shop just add voucher GARMIN30. Seemed to work when I just tested it. A good deal I'd say.
  22. I'll stick with a Sci-Fi total guess. Was it The Day The Earth Stood Still (the original film with Michael Rennie) Early 50's and fab.
