  1. Abigail the generic bug and Darkness have been secured in the "Booty Bag" for transport. I've got a copy of "The Tower Treasure" that I want to drop off at the Tok cache as we pass by around 11 am the 18th. If there are any bugs that need to head out of state, I'll be driving the Alcan for a week of touring BC and Seattle. My main targets this trip are Plantman Geocache # 9 around Whistler BC and Haiku Duck as I pass on my way to Seattle. If anyone adds a note to any bug that says "To Alaska" I'll be sure to bring it all the way back if I find it rather than drop at a convenient spot along the way since I'll be without computer while actualy on the road.

  3. Cool... Yep, gonna spend a week at the lodge there stimulating the Canadian economy. I want to at least make an attempt at Plantman 9 to drop off one of the two bugs I'm transporting South. It's something there or Haiku Duck on the day trip to Seattle.
  4. Does anyone have a good set of coordinates for Whistler? I'm getting ready to head that way and wanted to program it into my locator a bit more accurately than the Plantman Geocache #9 coordinates. Thanks!
  5. It still reads as "Not released yet by." The cache did remove the bug symbol after I put a found log at the bug's page but I don't have it in my possession yet and it didn't show in the main log. That was where I noticed the non release and sent the owner a note. Hopefully it will get fixed easy. Worse comes to worse I'm sure the owner lives here in town.
  6. I picked up a bug to deposit down the road on my vacation but when I was logging it I found that the owner had not "released" it yet. I sent them a note about that status. Will it be easy for them to take care of the release now that I have it so that it can be logged and inventoried?
  7. I'll be doing some practicing around town shortly so I will be all set to do some caching as I head down the AlCan highway to Whistler BC for a vacation the week of May 20th. If any bugs are looking to hitch a ride back to Alaska, I'm going to make a concerted effort to be at Plantman_Geocache#9 near Whistler MT that week to drop off any bugs that stick their thumbs out in Anchorage or near Tok just before I head out.
  8. quote:Originally posted by Hikenit: Hello fellow cachers, I was wondering if anyone was going near the Chena Cache if you wouldn't mind giving my Bug a ride. "He sure has been lonley" I'm going to head down the Alcan highway with my new toy May 18th. If someone can get him to the Tok cache or down to Anchorage by then I'll try to get him to the cache near Whistler Mountain down in BC.
  9. I found this site back when there was one cache in Alaska and came back to check it out a week ago. Been lurking in the mean time and figured it was time to register and get serious. Thought I'd go ahead and gather information before getting a GPS unit around the end of the month and practice around town before I head down the highway to BC in May.
