  1. I would like to get a mapping program that I could upload a file (gpx or something else) and it would show the caches. Can anybody recommend something? Thanks.
  2. I would like to have a map program on my pda that I could upload a .loc or .gpx file and have it display the caches and maybe a brief description. Any ideas? Free would be nice but I'm willing to pay for it.
  3. I think that someone set up an activity durring the campout on that weekend. It's just a temparary cache so the scouts can get some exsposure to finding and loging a cachen in hopes that they will want continue on thier own. If You Obey All The Rules You Miss All The Fun...
  4. I heard about geocaching over a year ago, but I don't remember where or from who. My parents gave me an eTrex because they thought it would be fun to play around with when I go on camping trips with them. I was excited. I typed in gps+treasure hunting and google pulled up geocaching.com. Now my parents never see me because I'm gone geocaching. If You Obey All The Rules You Miss All The Fun...
  5. Another guy here. I live in an area with few cachers so finding a single female cacher is next to impossible. Oh well, maybe someone will leave one for me to find? If You Obey All The Rules You Miss All The Fun...

  7. Other caches that I've looked for that have been bogus: Main Squeeze(Utah) (maybe on this one, I haven't heard back from the owner)Super Deluxe Booty 1 (Lindsey Lunch Cache) (Utah) I wouldn't just go and say that the cache had dissappeared just because I didn't find it. Shel's cache was my first try, so when I didn't find it I thought that I had done some thing wrong. Main Squeeze I checked every possible place, then looked at the clue and went back and checked again. Still wasn't anywhere to be found. When I logged it, I noticed that three other more experienced cachers had failed to find it. I e-mailed the owner and sure enough, it had been stolen. And on Super Booty, I had a picture from the web-site. But I can understand your reason for the comment, mbrownjer.
  8. You can also look for the link to the state map, which will show the locations of the caches in relation to the zip code that you entered. Just zoom on the area of interest and have the map label that caches for you. It will even provide links to the cache pages.
  9. What if you go to the cords. and the cache isn't there? Do you mark it as a found cache but write in the log on the site that the site had been plundered, or do you log it as a not found? I've been to three sites that have turned up missing and just don't know what to do.
