  1. I was just checking out Geocaches around Lancaster NH (FSP Porcupine Freedom Festival this weekend) and was reminded about the porcupine TBs. I guess I'm not a FSP member but live in NH and member of NH LP and all that. I Geocache - and I Vote. :-) -Ric Werme
  2. The GPS 45 was a good receiver - in its day. I spent a fair amount of time with mine including studying protocol options. I bought a GPS II+ and the improvement is substantial. Faster acquistion, not as bothered about going under bridges while acquiring, monitors several sats at once leading to much better behaviour in foliage and noticibly better accuracy. I haven't tried it geocaching, but I think the 45 will be okay. It's certainly a good unit to learn about what you want in your next unit! If you compare the 45 to a II+ or current unit you'll start saving money for your next purchase!
