  1. I am considering entering the tablet crowd; specifically through Verizon, which has a nice line of Samsung tablets - I don't know any tablet specifics beyond this. I would like to find out if the Wherigo player will work on these tablets before I take the plunge. I am told by the folks at the Verizon store that the OS is Android if that helps. All input welcomed. Thanks! Bob Lester
  2. I've just bought a new computer (Acer, Vista, IE7, Norton Internet Security) and have the same problems everyone else is describing. My old machine was a Gateway with XP SP2, IE6 and NO Norton; I was using AVG Free Antivirus software and other adware/spyware software and had no problems with the new maps. I have installed Firefox and have no map problems with that browser. It would seem, after reading through a lot of the logs in here, that Norton may be the culprit in this issue. I have yet to do a complete uninstall to check this out but plan to do it once I get all the software lined up that I was using before. I have to agree with the majority here: with so much input on this matter, I find it hard to believe that Groundspeak can't reproduce this problem.
  3. Hi there, I have a Magellan 4000 XL receiver; not exactly current but its getting the job done! However, I've only been partially successful in getting it to talk to EasyGPS. I'm connecting through the COM1 serial port on my computer, baud rate is set to 4800. I can transfer information (waypoints/landmarks) from the receiver to EasyGPS but can't get info to load from EasyGPS to the receiver. EasyGPS seems to be able to talk to the receiver to some extent as it correctly identifys the receiver and it's firmware version. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks! Bob
