  1. While not a GeoTour or a reward geotrail, the Bridges & Arches of Central Park (GC17MX1) is on the list because there is a reward for finding it. It was also awarded Geocache of the Week honors in 2015. This cache was high on my target list when we visited New York City last month. When finished, I added another favorite point to the pile. It was a really fantastic way to see a high percentage of Central Park. There are 32 stages to visit. We started at the north end of the park late in an afternoon and knocked out maybe the first 7-8 stages. I returned the next morning and was done with the remaining stages by around noon. (Keep in mind, I was running most of the way!) We found the final container later in the day. Each finder should find a geocoin to retrieve from the final container. (Non-trackable, but a very pretty coin). A trackable version is available for a fee by making arrangements with the CO. Same exact design on the two versions. This photo shows the front (from my trackable version) and the back from the non-trackable.
  2. Closing this thread since there's an existing thread in the correct forum.
  3. Closing this thread since the CO has an existing thread in another forum.
  4. Similar to Max and 99, my scariest moments were on kayak trips. In my cases, all scariness resulted from my own carelessness. In the first instance, I paddled down a river to find caches on a small island, stayed too long, and ended up paddling back in the dark dodging sandbars. In the second, I was paddling down a river that empties in the Pacific. I came to a downed tree in the river that I had easily ducked under on previous trips. This time, the river was running too fast and I capsized. It's a minor miracle the kayak didn't end up in the ocean. I just barely managed to hold on to the tree while keeping one leg in the kayak to keep it from floating away. Again, both scary moments could've been avoided if I had made better decisions. Live and learn!
  5. Per forum guidelines, since the website you're asking about is another location-based game, you'll need to go to that site (and/or any discussion forum they might have) to discuss their products.
  6. Thanks. We've updated the list to include your new trail.
  7. Today, we're opening threads in the User Insights forum to gather community feedback about geocache quality. We're hoping the answers will help inform Geocaching HQ's future efforts related to cache quality. Since User Insights threads are designed to gather answers to specific questions, rather than for a back-and-forth conversation, we're opening this thread for any feedback about the project. Yes, a thread about a thread
  8. Thanks for posting about this. Our engineers have identified and corrected a problem with notifications. Notifications should be going out again now, and no data was lost. However, it may take some time for the service to get back up to speed with real-time emails. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
  9. The Allegheny Geotrail has been on the list since we started it. But thanks!
  10. The script was run about 2 minutes before @Team DEMP's post Everyone who logged the event should have the souvenir now. If you logged the event and still don't have the souvenir, contact us via the Help Center. (Choose 06. Souvenirs from the "What can we help you with?" dropdown.)
  11. There was an error in how the souvenir was configured. It's fixed now, but I'm guessing we'll have to run a script to award the souvenir to anyone who logged prior to this afternoon with a log date of 5/26. We'll look into that when the office is back open on Tuesday. In the meantime, @spotter/g, @CacheCreditand @Sherminator18, you should all have the souvenir now.
  12. I looked into your situation. You wrote in a week ago to ask why you were charged for renewal of Premium membership. You received a response the same day, the renewal charge was refunded, and your membership reverted to Basic. (It would have expired without a renewal.) Two days ago, you wrote in again, and received a response the same day that included a question from one of our community managers. As of this morning, you have not responded to either of the emails sent by HQ. I would suggesting checking your inbox and/or your spam folder for the emails sent to you from HQ.
  13. Where we've landed with our current forum policy was decided after discussions with legal counsel. There is a lot about GDPR that is open to interpretation at this time. It could be that our policy on editing/deletion evolves.
  14. Indeed, it would work infinitely better if there was a process native to the app or website. The entire "free trial" process is being worked on now and will hopefully soon include functionality that will make a thread like this one unnecessary.
  15. Lab caches are available at every Mega-Event. Occasionally, they'll pop up somewhere else, too. More information about them is in this Help Center article.
  16. Permethrin was a must for me when I lived in the Midwest. Not as big of a need for it out here in the Northwest, but I still recently sent a batch of clothes in to get them treated. I travel to ticky areas often enough that it's good to know I've got some treated apparel. As kunarion mentioned, professionally treated apparel holds up a lot longer than when you treat it yourself. I used to have to spray my clothes once every couple months, whereas that becomes unnecessary with the professional treatment. I felt like sending the clothing in was a lot more cost effective than buying the pre-treated apparel. But YRMV.
  17. Since the original question has been answered, and since someone has attempted to use the thread to endorse another location-based game, the thread is closed. Please remember: "Limited non-promotional references to other location-based games are generally permitted. However, please refer support questions or dedicated threads about those games to their discussion forums."
  18. Darn it, I didn't check the "Notify me of replies" button for this thread! Sorry about that. I did walk (or run) to all of the caches. It would have been great to have had a bicycle at my disposal, because a lot of the caches would be nice to bicycle.
  19. Thanks, @Path Pacer. It's now on the list.
  20. Just wanted to share a photo of the geocoin received for completing the TRWD Trinity Trails Geocaching Adventure GeoTour. It's a trackable coin, one of the more attractive GeoTour coins I've earned. Earning a coin requires finding 25 caches along the Trinity Trails system in the Fort Worth, Texas area. I was able to finish the GeoTour in the equivalent of a full day, but I think two days is more realistic. Especially if you're finding other caches along the way. More details and a passport here. (There were originally 30 caches, but it's 25 today.)
  21. Go to the Edit page. Scroll down to between Waypoints and Geocache Details. Uncheck the box.
  22. Moving to a more appropriate forum.
  23. Closing this thread since discussions of unauthorized apps are not permitted. Support questions or significant discussion of unauthorized applications should be directed to their discussion forums.
