  1. I use a regular laptop (not a mac) and it has windows 10. I just got a new Magellan GC. When I click on the cache on the map on the geocaching website a box pops up for me to choose which brand GPS I have, I choose Magellan and it opens a box for me to upload a connector. I upload the connector and nothing happens. Now every time I click on the cache either that same box opens up and nothing happens or nothing happens period. Please help! I've tried using a different computer that had windows 7 on it and the same thing happens. Basically it's not acknowledging my GPS, the GPS says it's connected to the computer but beyond that I just can't upload new caches. Is this happening to anyone else? Does it happen with other GPS brands? I had a refurbished Delorme for years that I used for geocaching but that stopped working so I got this new Magellan. Should I just return the Magellan and try a different brand? I tried caching on my phone which works but the battery charge doesn't last longer than a couple hours when out hiking.
  2. I am having the same exact problem with the same exact GPS device. I was about to post the same issue but since you already have I will just follow and hope someone knows the answer. I have a regular laptop and use Windows 10.
  3. Hi Folks, I found the cache today, thank you for all your help!
  4. I did connect to the computer via the USB cable that came with my delorme PN60. I like to have the smileys because they help me find my way back to the beginning of the path. I didn't want to have to change each and every find from -haven't found yet- to a smiley as I uploaded them again.... a lengthy process. When I upload the ones I already found to my GPS unit it doesn't upload them as being found (a smiley) it uploads them as new caches. I can't always remember the name of every cache I've found which is another reason I hoped they would upload from the computer as they are- smileys. No luck though. Also, what is a PQ? If anyone reads this and knows how to do this without having to change the status of each and every uploaded cache once on my GPS- please let me know, I thank everyone who has replied to this post, your input is appreciated! :)
  5. Hi, I was having a problem with my Delorme PN60. I had to wipe all my files and now all my smiley faces (finds) are gone. How do I upload all the caches I found as smiley's instead of as a new cache??? Also, How do I delete created (empty) files/folders from my GPS unit? Please help, Thank you
  6. How do you submit a 'Needs archived' note. I can't figure out how to do it and theres a cache in my area that has 6 DNF Logs on it.
  7. I have placed a few caches yet none of them have been published. The first one because it is in an old cemetery and I can't find out who the grounds keeper is. The second one because it was too close to another one (which has many DNF logs on it and isn't there anymore) and another one which is ready to be published but they want me to attach a review note with a better description of the location and container type. Please help.
