  1. I see you've had no response here, you might like to Google other Irish Geocaching forums. Good Luck
  2. Hi this page will tell you a lot about the compass :- http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=108849
  3. Hi, Advanced—use advanced editing options for routes or tracks. (not waypoints or geocaches) Geocache marks are different to Waypoint marks in that Waypoints can be mass edited whereas Geocaches have to be individually edited. I think the reason is that there are other special editing and link properties given to Geocache marks. The way to overcome this is to get the Geocache marks into BaseCamp as ordinary Waypoints but you would lose the special properties of the Geocache mark. Regards Bernard
  4. Hi, exactly the same problem on a Samsung 10.1 upto date Kitkat Android.
  5. Hi, I generate the caches from GSAK into Memory Map using that method every week with no problems so it can work. I would say the problem is with the GSAK macro not with Memory Map. First thing I would do is remove and reinstall the macro into GSAK. See what happens and report. Regards Bernard
  6. Hello, I wrote a guide for this a long time ago :- http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bcmoore/New%20Icons%20Guide/ I've not checked the guide so don't know if it still works. The easiest way is to use GSAK then load and run the macro directly from GSAK. Loaded from GSAK the various files are downloaded to the correct places. Regards Bernard
  7. Hello, a google search for "garmin 60csx manual" should lead to several pages where the manual can be downloaded. This is the official Garmin download page https://support.garm...chManuals.faces Page 54 tells how to have the data fields showing. There's a ton of other information in the manual. I always reckon if you think you've tried everything it's time to read the book! Hope this will help
  8. Hi, I wrote this reply then found the post was moved! Hello Erik, A warm welcome to the UK & Ireland Geocaching forum, seems like you've wandered a little bit off course. Looking at your finds I'd say the Washington area North West USA is the place to ask your questions :- http://www.geocachin...spx?state_id=48 For the second question I'm sure you have local to you caching groups, try this search in Google :- "Washington USA local geocaching groups". You may be able to team up (I think Americans call it Buddying) with a cacher near you who has a proper GPS. Regards Bernard Norfolk UK
  9. Hi, I've just noticed you can run 10 Pocket Queries a day. I never noticed any mention of the increase from the old 5 a day, am I the only one that didn't see the increase??? I've been juggling 39 queries into a database for ages. Bernard
  10. Hi, You can addon translators in FireFox as well I use IM Translator
  11. Hello UKDodger, I don't use WinGDB3 but saw you have no answer to your problem and thought I'd have a look. There might be more than one way of doing what you want. I found this page which does the same conversion but it seems slightly differently to that which you describe. Might be worth giving it a go, what can you lose? I know from experience that Windows 7 sometimes saves programmes in different places from XP. Usually they go in C:\Program Files (x86) but not always. Regards Bernard
  12. Hi There, Welcome to GeoCaching, I've looked at the cache pages around your town and think "IN –CAche - PACITATED - Waterski watching" GC2EC3K should be an easy one. It's by the Ouse Relief Channel. Regards Bernard
  13. Hello There, Welcome to the wonderful world of GeoCaching. Google is always a friend. This link takes you to a page (a Google search) with lots of links to videos and the owners manual which can be downloaded. If you've already read the owners manual I would suggest you then ask more specific questions which I'm sure someone will be able to help you with. Hope you soon make your first find. Regards Bernard
  14. Hi, If you mean that when navigating to a waypoint, (cache or whatever) and you are on the compass page when the pointer swings erratically. Even pointing opposite to where you expect to be travelling from the map page then the compass needs to be calibrated. On the 60CSx when on the compass page click on "MENU", scroll to highlight "CALIBRATE COMPASS" click (press enter) calibrate compass. You get a page with instructions how to calibrate the compass, click (press enter) on "START" now holding the unit flat (screen upermost) turn the unit (or you rotate your body holding the unit in front of you) two complete revolutions slowly. If you go to fast of anything wrong then the unit will tell you to start again. Once sucessfully calibrated the unit should behave as expected, point to GZ. It is advised that the compass be calibrated recalibrated each time new battery's are replaced. However I find if you get to GZ and the compass won't settle down recalibrating helps the settling down, it doesn't hurt anyway. Regards Bernard PS It seem you still have a heck of a lot to learn about the 60CSx, it is an extremely good unit. Any further questions just shout.
  15. Hi SidAndBob, The next day the Gmail email came through closely followed by one from yourselves manually approving my registration, also soon after that three email for user activation. All emails were dated 7-10-13. Anyway I have now had a look thanks. Regards Bernard
  16. Hi, no email came to verify for registration. I looked everywhere including on the service provider site. I just tried to register with a googlemail address same thing no email with activation code to register. Regards
  17. Hi, can't even have a look as the site does not send a verification email. So can not login to it! It will let me change my password and email a new password to me. Email for verification of registering, no. Regards Bernard
  18. Hello There, I've no idea what this software is but a Google search of your problem turned up this page. Looks like a bug is recognised and attempts made to rectify it. Regards Bernard
  19. Hi. The world is your oyster from here.
  20. Hi, There are instructions on TalkyToaster's site here Regards
  21. Hi, "Your Garmin eTrex 10 has limited storage space for waypoints, routes, and tracks." See http://www.expertgps.com/gps-receivers/Garmin-eTrex-10.asp Try a Google search on "Etrex 10 waypoint limit". It's surprising what that turns up. Regards Bernard
  22. Hello Dooley, Try calibrating the compass. Regards Bernard
  23. Hi, If you buy a good charger that monitors the charge rate and temperature ect. Then don't try to charge the very cheap batteries from the the big shop on the net. You'll likely blow the charger and maybe cause a fire, I know to my cost, I blew an Anmann charger, £60 worth. Regards Bernard
  24. Hi gkcin, your other post with this question has been answered. Regards Bernard
  25. Hi, you can either replace the batteries with standard non-rechargeable AAA batteries. Or get 4 rechargeable AAA batteries and an AAA charger. You'll then have a couple ready charged for the next trip. The geomate jr instructions can be found here. Congratulations on finding your first cache and good luck with future caching! Regards Bernard
