  1. Hello everyone, With a birthday coming up soon, I have been giving serious consideration to upgrading my eXplorist 210. My main use for my GPS is geocaching, price range is flexible, but less than $300 would be optimal. Features that seem necessary or very useful: electronic compass ability to connect to the computer to download waypoints usable in colder climates good accuracy with forest cover High accuracy receiver / WAAS The units I have looked at and seem to be good options are: Garmin Oregon 300 Garmin eTrex Vista HCx Overall, I am open to any suggestions. I read through a number of posts, but the number of units available is a bit bewildering right now. Thank you ahead of time for your help! - Tom
  2. Hello, I have been a premium member for a very long time with no problems until now. For the last month or so, I get an error screen every time I try to create a new bookmark list. It shows all of my previous bookmark lists, but when I click on the "Create bookmark list" to create a new list, it goes to this URL and then displays an error screen saying "Sorry! We encountered an error when requesting that page!". Below is the URL: http://www.geocaching.com/error/general.aspx I was hoping it was a temporary error, but has been present now for about a month.

  4. Hello everyone, I just wanted to post an annoucement that there is finally an official student group for geocaching at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities)! I am the vice president of the new group called University Geocachers (UGC) and wanted to try and drum up as much interest and members as possible! You don't have to be a U of M student to be a member, so if you live in the area around the U of M campus and like geocaching, we would be glad to have you. More information (and membership applications!! :^) can be found at our group's website: www.umn.edu/~gust0208/ugc If you know any geocachers at the U of M, I would be very greatful if you would pass this along to them. Thanks for your time and kudos to the best sport on earth! Cheers, Thomas Gustafson U of M University Geocachers! Join us at: www.umn.edu/~gust0208/ugc
