  1. My wife and I just came back from vacation in Puerto Rico, lots of great caches and a great place to vacation. We were in Luquillo and then in Old San Juan, we visited a few caches around both areas, great fun.
  2. I have a Garmin and iPhone and I use Dropbox for the iPhone to display PDFs. Dropbox is a free sync and backup program that has a folder that is synced to all computers or devices you have. It is great. 1) Find the caches you want, and go to the print dialog icon and print to PDF. (The good thing is you printout the map that would be on the paper printout.) 2) Put the PDFs in the Dropbox folder. 3) When you are on WiFi sync the Dropbox on your iTouch with your computer and click the star icon to save to your iTouch. Yes, Dropbox works on the iTouch, and did I mention it is free! Cheers!
  3. Wow, your TBs lifespan gives me confidence in this idea that is brewing. Thanks for the encouragement!
  4. Eartha, Your going for the gold star today, I see! I will be using your last idea, I didn't think about tackle shops for the cable.
  5. I like those ideas thank you, especially the cable idea.
  6. Thanks for the replies so far, it is giving me something to think about. Even if the instructions are on the TB on a laminated card? Maybe the instructions could basically be the TB, the target caches will have instructions not to take anything out but the TB, they will contain props. It is the action of moving the TB that I am after. Edit~ Don't mean to come of too confrontational, just posing some questions.
  7. I am starting the design process on one of my first geocaches, it is going to be a muti-stage geocache involving a storyline and props similar to the A.P.E. caches. I am thinking about using the Travel Bug as a movable game piece between two or three of the caches that are involved in order to get the final cache coordinates. The caches will have explicit instructions not to move the TB to any other cache but the one needed for the completion of the game. Has anyone every heard of this use or have any thoughts on such use? Thanks!
  8. If you have an iPhone or smartphone you can print your cache information into a PDF on your computer. Then you get a free account with Dropbox and store your PDFs in your Dropbox. You can access your PDFs from your smartphone Dropbox app. Works good!
