I'm a Paramedic and sometimes am call upon to go on a long distance transfer to a hospital I have not been to before. I take my GPS to work now. It will find most hospitals and lead me right there.

I voted ammo can. Waterproof, durable, animal proof, inexpensive.

If you found one that was supposed to be missing you should let the owner know so it can be reactivated.

I order my ammocan from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (it's a quasi-government program). They cost a little over $99 but then they are filled with 400 rounds of 30.06 cal military surplus rifle ammo for my M-1. It's great target practice ammo.

I think I will jump in with both feet and get the Garmin GPS V. The question is where should I get it? e-bay? On-line discounter? Seems like I pay a premium if I get it at a local store.

My wife and I have decided to begin our first search WHEN THE SNOW MELTS. We will start with the Erwin Beaver Pond Cache and a couple in the same area. N 42 09.608 - W 077 10.329 We have been looking at some of the parks for hiking and geocaching gives us a direction to go. We haven't got a GPS yet but are looking at the Garmin GPS III Plus. We always are open to suggestions.
