  1. Looks rather plain. I've got several coins that look just like it.
  2. Mystical GreenMan. Where have you gone?
  3. But you do have a valid point. Posting a pic to the Forums here can be a pain. The process could use a revamp . .. !! True that.
  4. Very nice. Definitely on my WANT LIST.
  5. pulse72geocaching has some for you. http://www.pulse72ge...-red-1059-p.asp
  6. You'd have to have the tracking code to be able to log it correctly. Eventually when it is found, it should get logged appropriately into its next cache, but it may miss getting logged into current cache.
  7. Received my coins in the mail this week. Excellent first personal coin!
  8. Email sent: 5/5/14 Name received: 5/11/14 Mission sent: Mission arrived: Mission received: ZOOM, ZOOM!!!
  9. You're clearly less crazy than the person that won. I suppose if I had a VW in the past that looked like that one or had some other VW memory, I would have paid mucho dineros for it just to relive the memories. Crazy is a relative term, right? Spending any amount of money for these shiny objects that serve very little purpose in my daily life is pretty cuckoo to me. Call me crazy I guess.
  10. Hopefully the rest will make him better.
  11. I arrived home today after a maddening Monday at work today to find a curious black bubble mailer in the mailbox. I was expecting a personal coin from Strombus. Could this be it? The label was immediately identifiable to me as being from the mystery coin giver, J. He is finding those of us he feels he can help cope with our madness and give us this curious coin to focus us and keep us in reality. Since I do seem to have some madness with geocoin collecting, according to my family, I shall keep this token at the center of it all. This is what I need. Now I have to search out 2 other coiners who are in dire straits and need this token. I shall be traveling to an event soon and will keep my eye out for odd behaving cachers who also have an addiction to shiny objects. Shouldn't be difficult. Thank you mystery coin giver for your unbelievable generosity. This coin is very special to me as is the story that accompanies it. I will carry out your wishes.
  12. I'm all in. Should be fun. Hopefully more will join! Email sent: 5/5/14 Name received: Mission sent: Mission arrived: Mission received:
  13. Wow, that's some serious business. He owes you money and is passing his losses on to you. You gotta be kidding me! So sorry for you. Sounds like a matter for small claims court, but he knows you won't be able to pursue it from another continent. I've seen the Jim Collins name before on a Facebook geocoin group. I'll be sure and steer clear of these two.
  14. That is a great idea. But, in too many caching communities, Coins seem to go missing. It would be a shame for someone to receive a lovely Mission Coin, put it in a cache and have it disappear. If the Coin has a proxy that can travel, then there would be less chance for a proxy to disappear than the "real" Coin. And, some people do not wish to activate their Coins. My collection has three times more unactivated than activated! Edit to add: if it was a Mission with a Micro or very inexpensive Coin, that would be a good option!!! I understand this suggestion as: I'll send an unactivated coin to my mission partner (as usual). I also put into the parcel an activated coin to put into a local cache. This would be MY coin, so I could choose whatever I'm willing to send out into the wild and won't be too upset, if it should go missing. Not all coins do, even though there is a great number of my trackables gone MIA. But not even an acryllic token trackable is save out there, one of mine went missing, even though I would have sworn they're to ugly to get stolen... Nevertheless, I'd be willing to chance it and sent an activated coin of mine to be dropped from my mission partner into a local cache. Or being taken along on a road trip and tropped as far off as possible, but please with correct visited logs to get the milage. edit: silly typo. Nothing new, I'm afraid... This is basically what I had in mind. A nice unactivated coin for trade. A second activated coin that still belongs to the owner but is placed into a cache by the recipient. This could even be optional if worried about having your coin stolen. Maybe the Mission is titled "Road Trip", and the recipient can place it in a "far away" cache during a summer trip if so lucky. I know it can be hard to place coins into caches, but you have to admit that when you come upon one in a cache you get a little more excited about the hunt. You could choose one of your "lesser" coins that doesn't strike your fancy anymore or use some kind of proxy to calm your fears. When I went to Jamaica last year I dumped 6 activated coins that I bought for $5 a piece here on the forums and have had a blast watching them go every which way. One went to Canada. One went to Sweden. It's been a kick watching them. BTW, I'm headed to Turks and Caicos in late June and would have plenty of room to take a coin with me.
  15. 2 awesome pictures. Wish I was making bubbles. So jealous.
  16. Not sure what to call it. But how about trading an unactivated coin like usual and an activated coin meant to be placed in a cache near the recipient.
  17. Awesome design and meaning behind it. Would love to see one of these in person.
  18. Nice coins. Currency exchange takes this out of my price range.
  19. So there's madness Down Under?
