Hey, Clyde Any chance for Canadian postal codes to be put into the works?
-
Got one I put in this morning after about an hour's wait. Looks like they're on the go.

Mine, asked for about an hour ago, just showed up.

Try working around it with the Preview function, Maybe?

I have always thought you have to find the cache and sign the log book for a regular cache. I don't think going to the general area cuts it. How close do you have to get - within a hundred yards, a mile, the same county? That's why the log book is there.

Cottage Country is also referred to as "up north" around the Toronto area. I have been told this amuses people in Sudbury, Timmins, Thunder Bay, etc.

MetroGuide North America v6 gives you the works for North America and Puerto Rico on 2 disks. Very detailed for US and Canada.

I tried several on the way down the I75 in January. The ones I tried wound up to be right in front of the Cracker Barrel restaurants at the interchanges. I quit when I saw they were placed at the front of the restaurant in plain view of the diners. I wasn't comfortabe groping around in front of 30 or 40 people. These are the only ones I tried since they were on my route.

Hi, Clyde With the newest version of GSAK, when I export the waypoints to Microsoft Streets and Trips or Map Source, the waypoint names are truncated to 8 characters. I don't think I have changed any other settings. Ideas?

I've only had experience with Gps Central a few times, but they respond quickly and the staff seems very informed and are friendly.

I am beginning to think grey hair is a great device to allay the suspicions of the border people on either side. Of course most of you will have to wait a while... My best story, I guess, is the day they asked if we had anything to declare, and I answered, "No", and my wife answered "Yes". I thought we were in for it, but the guard just laughed, and said, "Get your stories straight next time," and waved us on. Having a good day or something.

After a long time at a certain cache, a small mirror, believe it or not.

The RBG has closed its trails to school groups for an indefinite period according to today's Burlington Post.

Yes, a tragedy. I had a "near miss" in the woods a while ago, with a tree coming down across the trail just behind me in a high wind. Made me rethink going out in the woods when the wind is blowing hard.

For the Snowbirds, etc.: they seem pretty friendly in Florida. Some caches require you to go to the official's desk and ask for a key, one even has the cache under the official's desk! You ask and he gets it out for you. I saw one note where the park ranger had spotted a cache in a poison ivy patch and moved it to a safer location and noted it on the cache page. Pretty good.

The process cannot access the file "e:\caches\xml\103262\103262.xml" because it is being used by another process. Nice to know I have company. Is it happening when you try to log a bug drop as happened to me?

I was in the Crawford Lake area this morning and the gate attendant told me two bears have been shot recently. I guess she meant the one mentioned above and another one. They have a sign warning visitors to keep alert. Improved my speed re finding the cache and logging in.

Hi I would really appreciate it if someone would walk me through how you connect the Garmin 76cs usb connnection to EasyGPS. I have managed to download the coordinates by going through easy GPS to Mapsource and then to the GPS. Seems kinda clumsy when I seem to see people saying you can download from EasyGPS through a USB connection. I keep gettin messages about the serial connection. Thanks for any help. -
Wow, it updated my stats within minutes. Nice work, man.
